It has been four years since I came to this world. My fourth birthday was just yesterday. I waiting to awaken my quirk anytime now.
Since my third birthday, I've been going out more often with mom, we ran into one of our neighbors, who had a son around the same age as me, he was only a year older. I honestly don't remember his name, and I had no interest in becoming friends.
I was only waiting to awaken my abilities, I mean who wouldn't be excited, I'm a special case, since I already know what my power is, still I can't wait.
Currently mom and I are going grocery shopping. After we reached the store, we started buying the things we needed.
'I want to eat apples' thought Aska randomly
"Mom can we get some apples?"
"Sure, let's go to the fruits section" Uyeno (mom) said
"I want the red ones" Aska looked at his mom
"Ok"
Mom started picking some apples, just as she was reaching to grab one, I could see the apple, wasn't good, It had a hole in it that I could only assume was worm made.
"Wait mom this one is no good"
After saying that, Uyeno checked the apple and saw the hole as well
"Thanks, Aska" Uyeno said casually as she tossed it back into the pile of apples and picked a different one.
'Wait a minute the hole is on the other side of the apple, how could I see it?
Is it observation haki? That's insane'
I tried to do the same thing all over, I could only observe what is happening around at the distance of five feet, which isn't much, but wow I never thought observation can be this detailed.
After mom paid for the groceries, we got in the car and mom started driving.
"Mom, I want to learn martial arts" Aska said suddenly
'Since I awakened observation haki, with some training I'll awaken armament haki' thought Aska.
"Why? You're too young for this Aska. Though I think some kind of sport would be good for you" mom said thoughtfully
"I want to be a hero when I grow up"
"Even if you want to be a hero, you have to wait until you're older to learn martial arts"
"When can learn martial arts then?"
"When you're at least 10 years old"
The rest of the drive home was quite but Aska had this disapproving look on his face.
When we got home mom told dad about our conversation, and dad had to make sure I will do as mom says.
Anyway, I'll start school in three months, and I'm not sure if I should be excited to leave home, or should I not since I'll be surrounded by children all day.
[3 months later]
"Are you sure, you don't want me to come in with you?" mom said as she checked Aska's bag
"It's ok I will be fine"
"Fine, but take care of yourself, I'll come pick you up when school is over, don't wonder around ok"
It's been three months since my fourth birthday, it's the first day of school and I'm yet to awaken my lightning ability, currently I can only use observation haki at a distance of ten feet. Since I awakened observation haki, I've been using as much as I can.
'Class KG-1 should be here somewhere'
"Ahh, here it is" said to himself
'I hope school isn't boring'
As I enter the class I saw students around the class, some were seated, some were chatting, it looks like a couple knew each other from before.
As I sat down in my assigned seat that was dead center in the class, which is very uncomfortable, I wish had that MC seat, you know which one I mean.
Anyway, school isn't boring, it was way beyond boring I can't even describe how annoying it was.
First of all the class had 30 students or so, each was loud and annoying, or just cried all the time.
Nothing interesting happened all day till I was walking in the hallway heading towards the front entrance to wait for mom there, that's when I saw her.
A girl same age as me, had blond hair with bob cut with buns on either side of her head. She had small fangs and her eyes were yellow.
That girl is non other than Himiko Toga.
'No way I go to the same school as her! Should I talk to her, she is someone who will become one of the main villains in the future?'
After some thinking
'Nah, I'll wait some more before I interact with her'
Not long after I found mom and went home with her
After getting home I kept trying to generate any lightning but nothing happened, did God trick me?
After and hour or so of concentration I started to meditate trying to feel anything, finally I could feel a small electric current, but it wasn't inside my body, but it was on my desk, it was a remote battery.
'That's weird, but its a good start'
'Maybe I should vision the source of lightning inside my body. I mean my entire should be made of lightning. I'm a lightning human after all'
I kept trying to find lightning inside me, but nothing. After some more meditating, trying to look inside myself, I failed.
'What am I doing wrong? Ok let's think about this rationally, I'm focusing on the center of my body. I should be able to turn my body into lighting, but I'm not sure if I even want that. I might damage my room. Or burn down the house. I should start small.
After some more thinking I tried to focus on my entire body, not just the center, like I was doing before.
'Finally, I could see it' there was a light blue energy running through my body.
I tried to channel it out
*CRACKLE*
a small quick lighting bolt shot out of my right hand and hit the wall in front of me.
A second later I could hear quick footsteps coming towards my room
"Aska are you ok? What was that?" mom asked as she came into my room.
Just as mom was about to touch me I jumped back "wait, there is electricity coming out of my body I don't want to hurt you"
"just calm down, and the electricity will calm down as well" - dad who was behind mom stepped in closer.
A few seconds later, the electricity dancing around my right hand disappeared like nothing happened.
"Would you look at that. He has a my quirk" Dad teased mom
Mom shot him a glare before she turned to me, "Are you ok? You're not hurt, right"
"I'm ok mom, I just didn't want to hurt you." I reassured her
"I'm glad you're ok. Tomorrow you won't go to school, I'll take you to the hospital to get your quirk registered, It's late so go to sleep now"
After my parents checked on me and dad saying something about getting supplies to fix the charred mark on my wall. It wasn't too big, he said he could do it himself.
They exited my room and closed the door
"HAHAHA he got a quirk similar to mine not yours!" I could hear dad already started teasing mom about my quirk again
"Keep it up and you're sleeping on the sofa, matter of fact I'll have you sleep in the back yard all week" - mom's voice sounded annoyed
"HAHAHA you're just a salty loser" - dad
"What did I lose, huh? Quirks are not random. He was going to get my quirk, or yours, or some kind of combination of both, and you know that. And I mean it, I really will kick you out!"
They kept arguing while walking away from my room, till I couldn't hear them anymore.
[Next Day]
"Aska wake up, it's time to go to the hospital." -mom
"ugh,... good morning mom" I said sleepily as I rubbed my eyes
"Go brush your teeth and come downstairs, its time for breakfast, and after we'll go get your quirk registered" -mom
"ok"
After a brushing y teeth and delicious breakfast, mom took me to the hospital where we met a quirk doctor.
After some tests, we had a report. After the doctor read the report, the doctor started explaining what to expect.
"Ohh you have a great quirk there" exclaimed the doctor. She was a middle aged woman with black hair.
"Really, what is his quirk? I know it has to do with electricity but what does it do exactly?" Asked mom
"His quirk is Electrokinesis. He can generate, and miniplate lightning at will" the doctor started "Though the specifics of how he generates his lightning and the extent of control he has over them will take time and experience for him to learn that"
"Really!!, that's great Aska, you could be a hero just like you wanted" mom was really excited about my quirk.
I wasn't surprised, I knew my quirk long before after all, but I played along anyway.
After getting my quirk registered we went home.
[some dark room in the hospital]
There was a woman with black hair talking on the phone,
"I have a report to make... yes, I found a child today with a very powerful quirk, that has high potential. I'll send you a file with all of his information, including his parents' information"
