"Do you think I care about your measly threats?" She said once again turning her head toward me but the next second a shadow rose from beneath her and a golden crystal appeared in her hand, which was blinking.
"Interesting, you are ready to demote my membership for bothering this nobody, it is worth investigating his identity." She said storing crystal in her shadow and started moving in my direction.
She released her momentum and her shadow started to surround us, dying everything in black, when silent reaper saw his warning didn't work, I saw for the first time his face turn red due to anger.
Two guards who were inside the shadow room appeared from the portal behind me and stood in front of me trying to stop the prying darkness, they held out their hands and a wall of black fire appeared between us but it was quickly swallowed by the darkness along with guards.
All this happened before I could even blink, and I was trapped inside a dark square space where only me and shadow empress remained.
'I can't use my ability…' I said in my mind because I failed to activate [Lightning step] but before I could do anything else I heard merlin's voice.
'I am preparing a teleportation scroll, it is too dangerous for us to remain here, we… we will go to beast continent.' Merlin's horse and terrified voice resounded in my head and I saw his shadowy form move uncontrollably inside my sea of consciousness.
'No, don't do it.' I stopped merlin from using teleportation scroll which was too precious and would spoil all our plans but before I could think of anything silent reaper came tearing through the shadow with his bare hands encased in thick red aura as he stood between us.
"I think you have assumed our sincerity as our weakness, shadow empress, allow me to reiterate myself, I think you are here to find out the reason for the death of your underlings Earl jabel and Viscount makia, I dare you take one more step and you will never be able to find out, what happened to them."
At silent reapers remark, shadow empress finally stopped her advance and looked at him with gaze filled with killing intent which seemed like a mountain crushing down on us.
'Damn it, she is the demon princess Amelia, f*ck my luck.' I cursed aloud in my mind.
"Do you think I won't be able to track him after I have got the information out of you, don't forget, this whole planet belongs to my father." She spoke to silent reaper while glaring at me and I felt an unfamiliar sensation throughout my body as the shadow receded back.
"I am ashamed for not leaving up to your expectation, you can leave now lightning emperor, i will contact you once I have dealt with her." Silent reaper said to me in an audible voice while a vicious smile appeared on shadow empress's face.
At silent reapers warning shadow empress recalled her shadow and the surrounding returned to normal, the two demon guards who had disappeared previously reappeared completely unscathed.
"Keeping me safe from duke ranked demons, just look at you how helpless you are in front of a mere demon princess." At my words silent reapers eye widened because my deduction was correct and he lowered his head in shame.
'She had marked you with her shadow.' Merlin said and I nodded feeling an unfamiliar presence cling to my shadow but invisible to naked eye, just as I was about to leave the place, I felt a throbbing pain in my chest and a 6 meter long crack appeared around dragon king noob's consciousness bubble.
'Don't reveal your lightning abilities in front of her and escape calmly using your draconic strength.' As if he was reading my mind, merlin warned me and I agreed.
Enduring the pain and maintaining a stoic face, I tensed my leg muscles to the point they were bulged and giving one annoying stare to shadow empress I jumped high into the air reaching the high of 80 meters and traversing the distance of 200 meter at once.
After reaching few kilometers away, I felt the presence of shadow empress vanish and thus using my lightning ability I flew away from the snowflake city as fast as possible, clenching my chest, I changed my destination midair and took shelter in an empty space below a large tree approximately 20 kilometer away from the point where I separated from shadow empress.
The pain increased tenfold the moment I took the sigh of relief and I spit some dark blood from my mouth.
'What is happening to me?' I asked merlin.
'I don't know why, but dragon king noob's consciousness is reacting negatively toward the presence of shadow trace demon princess has marked you with, that is the result why your core is burning and breaking.' Merlin replied.
I covered my hand with thick lightning and imbued 100 fate points into it, guiding my hand toward my shadow I caught an invisible black substance which upon contact with my hand started to wriggle in pain and turn into ashes the next second.
'But why, what was that shadow, and you said she used dragon gaze on me, don't tell me she…' I said but stopped midway my sentence.
'You are correct; she has merged with the dragon core, the same core as demon king Lucifer, 'Shadow dragon core'.'

Demon princess Amelia POV
I had dealt with this so called 6th seat of genesis silent reaper before, and my first impression of him was he is a racist, he always looked down on demons and treated them differently than humans, but the efforts he has shown right now to protect that human from me were something else.
As I stopped for few second hearing the name of Earl jabel, the human using his physical strength soared into the sky and run away but I didn't care much about it, I had already marked him with my shadow and as soon as I have finished my business with genesis, I will have to pay him a visit.
"We have overlooked your infraction many times but this mistake will not end with simple compensation, as you stopped at my last warning I will hear what you have to say but prepare yourself to face the council's decision." Silent reaper said and moved into the portal without waiting for my answer.
Few second after stepping inside the portal, I lost the connection with shadow with which I have marked that human.
'What an interesting human.' I chuckled because it was impossible for normal people to be able to distinguish the shadow from their own, let alone destroy it within few seconds.
He had attracted the attention of upper echelon of genesis, and for him this bastards were ready to oppose me, I stepped out of the portal thinking about this as interest sparkled in my eyes, it seems the trip to this rundown place was not in vain.
"What can your council do to me, at most you can do is demote my position or cancel my membership, let me tell you it is not you who is patience here, if your existence wasn't useful to me, I would have destroyed your organization long ago." I spoke in an unbothered tone.
"You are quite confident but can you really do what you have just said with your own power, I can assure you even demon king Lucifer will not be able to track and wipe us out let alone a demon princess whose strength is not even comparable to a duke." He said and took his seat on one side of table.
"You are quite confident for a mere human; I think absence of my father for such a long time has made you forget his terror." I said seating on the opposite chair.
"Do you think your father will be bothered by your petty problems?" He knew very well about my father's personality but I won't have to go to my father if I want to deal with genesis.
"It seems the rumors of 6th seat silent reaper having a racist personality weren't wrong." I said looking in his red eyes.
"You misunderstand me shadow empress, I am not a racist person, I only give that much respect to people which they have earned by themselves and not based on their title and lineage, those who don't like me spread rumors about my conduct and those who are close to me understands my real personality.
Don't expect the same respect from me which other people give you because of fear of demon king Lucifer." Silent reaper stopped speaking and retrieved a half meter circular white crystal from beneath the table.
"May I know the reason for your sudden visit?" Silent reaper asked trying to change the topic but i don't find it entertaining to engage with him in this battle for words any longer, they will pay for their every misbehavior, once I have ascended the throne, just you wait you bastards.
"I want information, all the recent information you have about Earl jabel and Viscount makia." I said.
