Although both methods make plants possess purification abilities, inducing plants to develop autonomously in a certain direction using the environment, and then continuously collecting seeds that have formed some memory to cultivate them again using the same environment, produces very stable purification plants.
It can even form stable heredity after several generations of offspring.
On the other hand, the way the Tower of Nature cultivates is more like using some spell to mutate these seeds during the embryonic stage... Though the outcomes are the same, these seeds never have heredity.
Many of them don't even produce seeds.
Thus, Druids do not agree with the path of Nature Mages, and some extreme Druids even see them as enemies of nature.
But on the flip side, compared to real mages, at least Nature Mages do not easily harm intelligent creatures... Their spells always need to obtain permission from the natural law.
