Hill and Aesces did not misjudge the Moon Clan... Since they could summon this group of players from Eosca, they never thought these people would honestly follow the many rules set by Aesces and Ismael.
Over on Aesces' side, there are virtually no constraints, meaning that becoming his follower allows wanton slaughter.
Hill kept questioning because he wanted to know whether Aesces, in that world, could only choose the Maple Country and his master.
However, it's obvious he has already relinquished control... Wanting people from another continent, who might like order and help the natives defend, to enter this world immediately is nearly impossible.
After observing for some time, Aesces actually understood Hill's question... although he didn't grasp Hill's true intent, he agreed with Hill's low opinion of these Moon Clan members and their kin.
