The appearance of the Great Rift Valley caused the underground water level in the northwest region of the Southern Wilderness to drop drastically, leading to frequent natural disasters such as earthquakes and droughts.

Gan Song rode on a fierce bird, walking on the dry ground. Most of what he saw was withered yellow, with only a few tenacious green plants scattered among them.
Behind him were seven or eight warriors from the Planting Team, also riding fierce birds, enduring the stifling heat and dryness alongside Gan Song.
As they walked, a lush green plant appeared ahead, although it was quite low, it stood out among the pile of withered yellow plants.

Gan Song pointed to the plant, and with a gentle squeeze of his legs, the fierce bird advanced towards it.
Upon reaching the plant, Gan Song jumped off the bird, then crouched down to examine the plant's growth state.
