Although unknown to the vast majority of human beings, monsters are also capable of using the illustrious [Skill Books], although most usually don't, or don't have the chance to. They develops skills through evolution and survival, and for most, that is enough. Intelligent monsters, however, do get a few skill books to allow themselves to better mix with society.
Not all monsters want to kill everything in sight, the prime example of that is Big Bertha. She kills any monster or human that dares to hunt her, but usually lets weaker beings alone, provided they mind their business.
The big bird, in response to Alan's request, tilts her head in confusion. She gestures with her beak for Alan to continue, and he explains.
"The world is going to grow... tumultuous, to say the least."
Big Bertha looks at him, and then at her children. She understands the words, but desire more, more clarification.
"How so?"
Alan immediately answers, as if waiting for that.
