Back at home, Noah and Ashley take a good sleep together, with a new member in their small family. The next day, Ashley had to go for a business trip. Noah dropped her to the airport.
Noah: (coughs a little) Take…care. Eat well, don't drink, stay with others. Call me AND pick up my calls. Get it? (coughs)
Ashley: Ashley, charge your phone, don't stay awake late, bah blah blah
After kissing each other goodbye, she leaves, boards the plane and safely reaches her destination-Chicago. Resting in the hotel Hilton Chicago O'Hare, then going for meeting and itch. After a long day of work, she Lucas and other colleagues go out to the bar for drinks and dance.
Ashley: Guys, I'm going back now. You all?
Together: 3 more shots please!!
Ashley: Fine, don't stay out too late. I'll hail a cab, Lucas, take care.
She passed out on her bed and woke up in the morning to have a day to herself. Enjoying spa, amusement parks, luxurious restaurants with her friends and then, going for shopping.
Ashley: I'm going there, I need to get something.
Lucas: Ash, that's, it's a men's wear shop.
Ashley: I know, it's for Noah.
Lucas: then I'll come for help?
Ashley: Not at all, ill handle, you should get haze something too.
Lucas: Okay! I'll get her something too. Girls, help me out then…
Ashley buys him watch and Lucas buys her a beautiful gown.
After buying things for herself and family too, she meets the others at a café and then, they return back to their hotel for a nap and dinner before going out for a surprise plan.
Lucas: Guys, don't forget, after dinner, at exact 8:40p.m. meet in the lobby, and we'll go for the ******
Others cheering (wooaahhhhhhh)
Ashley: This is going to be fun!!
(Time skip)
Ashley: (rings everyone's doorbell five minutes prior) Done guys? Hurry up! 5 more minutes to go..
Lucas: Yes, yes, putting my pants on (screams from his room while stuffing a piece of pizza in his mouth, getting the key card of his room and opening the door to leave) I'll drive, my ****** ******* friend has lent it for us.
Ashley: That's..awesome!!!
Everyone sits in the cabriolet, a sleek Ferrari. They enjoy some songs before reaching the tattoo parlour.
Ashley: I'm first, since it was my idea?
Lucas: Sure, princess, we can't deny that, but lemme go next, as it's my dear friend.
Ashley: (acting like a spoilt princess and gets back to herself in a tease)
Others: okay. We'll decide till then.
Miley: Anyone is getting piercing?
Lucas: Nope. Just a tattoo. But you can if you want. (Author pov: seen Final Destination: The Bloodline yet?)
Ashley: Um…I'll get this on my ankle (the date, when she first saw him), this on my back near neck (a butterfly), this on my side under the b**b ("mi amor"), this on wrist (He's MINE!), last one- here on my shoulder (a heart)
Tattoo artist: Good choice, wont take too long, its all small ones at different places. No allergy? Sign this form after reading it, and come inside the room. Other artists can start the work for your friends, Lucas, I'll get you after her.
Lucas: Ok, I'll decide since I haven't thought about it yet. All the best, Ash.
After getting the tattoo, they go out for some snacks and return to the hotel as the next day, after an early meeting they had to fly back.
Noah: (text message) Babe, I'll be at the airport to pick you up. Have a safe flight. Can't wait.
Ashley: (text message) Same here, got too many surprises for you..
They reach back and Ashley runs to hug Noah. He catches her, just as if she fits n his arms perfectly.
Noah: Ash, enjoyed?
Ashley: Yeah of course. Bye guys!
Noah drives her home. They go to her place. She shows him his watch.
Ashley: Open our eyes now! Like it? (smiling wide anticipating)
Noah: No…(acts sad), (then suddenly cheers up, picking her up in his lap) Loved it!!!! (Kisses her on the lips, deep, and before things escalate, Ashley stops him)
Ashley: I can't reveal all the surprises today. You need to wait.
Noah: Ok. I wonder what it could be.
Ashley: Keep wondering. By the way, tomorrow, I want to visit your parents and sister, I have presents for them too.
Noah: Ok, I'll apply for a day off, I want to spend more time with you. These 3 days you weren't here, things felt so boring and silent. Now its better. I'll go next door, call me if you need something. You should rest now; you must be tired after a long flight.
Ashley: pulls him back and kisses him on his cheek) Love you. It felt nice to have someone so eager to meet me at home.
Noah: (flustered) Sleep.
He silently, tiptoeing, enters her house and sleeps beside her. Next morning, she wakes up and sees him beside her, kisses him morning.
Ashley: I'll take a shower, you too get dressed. I'll make us some breakfast and go for a run later. You playing with the boys?
Noah: Yes. I'll go back then. Meet you soon!
They eat together and go for a morning workout. She runs in the ground and then, in a shade, starts skipping.
Noah's friends: (pats and screams..) Hey, hey, look there…It's, "You're so hot, Love ya!!(acting like her, making faces)" -that girl.
Noah: She's, she's my girlfriend. (in normal tone)
His friends: What?!!!! Woahhhhhhh! What's going on here….awesome!
They go over to her (running).
His friends: Hiii, how are you?? Won't (acts like her on that day) cheer for him?
Ashley: You didn't explain? It was just a dare..(a bit caught off guard and shy)
Noah: I did, but they didn't believe. Anyways, um…lets go out together?
They take her skipping rope and skip a little while she claps and when one of them removes shirt showing his abs, she even screams—"woahh, that's…"
Noah: Hey, stop it now. (covers her eyes, snatches her rope, kicks his friend on his a** and drags Ashley away)
Asley: Remove your hand, (tries turning to peek but he picks her up on his shoulder and takes her to his home, putting her down on his bed)
Noah: Wanna see more? (comes close to her face and whispers)
Ashley: No, I'm done. (pushes him aside and runs to her home)
She wears an elegant long red dress, showing off her neck and shoulder tattoo, on purpose. He wears a suit and his few of his friends get their girlfriend too. Others cry for being single. Lucas and Hazel accompany them too. It was a grand classy dinner. Noah wore the watch gifted by her.
Noah: (pulls her in his arms, hugging her from back) Ash, (whispers in her ears) this is the other surprise? How many more did you get? When will you show them to me..? It's..sexy. Suits you so well…..I will get one too…..what say?
Ashley: Of course…I'll do it for you. I'm planning to learn it, I know a little though.
Noah kisses her on the shoulder and gives her another mark, on her neck this time, but she decides it let it show. It's a mark of love for her..and he held pride in his work.
Noah: Well then, after you. (holds the door for her and she decides to drive him to the dinner and he would drive her back as she wanted to drink)
Ashley: (opens his car door for him) Noah, sit here. Keys? I'll drive. You can drive us back, I want to drink.
Noah: Sure. Let's go, we'll be late. Though I wish we could stay back. (murmurs)
Ashley: Hm??
Noah: Nothing. Let's go.[1]
