Yet, try as she might, her defense simply faltered. With the Gene Realm, he could simply increase output at the cost of passive defense, since she couldn't land a single blow on him with all the hurdles she was unable to overcome. Each blow to her body left her wounded and bruised, checkerboarding her body with more and more damage with each blow. Her defenses were phenomenal; virtually any other Martial Artist would have died from the onslaught that he had inflicted on her, but her ability to absorb damage with her body by rolling with attacks was sublime. Her motions had achieved a level of mastery that he couldn't touch even with Soul Retcon, but that alone would not be enough with all the advantages he had accrued in the foundation of his existence.
