Beyond Qi Sheng's room, the morning routine at Mental Institute had already begun.
Doors unlocked one after another.
Medication trays rolled steadily through the corridors, their wheels rattling softly against the worn floor as nurses moved from room to room. Muted voices drifted through the walls, occasionally interrupted by a patient's laughter, a sudden cry, or the heavy metallic click of another door being secured.
Among the nurses moving through the corridor was a female who had long since learned how to become part of the scenery.
Her uniform was immaculate, her dark hair pulled neatly into a low ponytail, leaving only a few loose strands framing her face. A small black tattoo disappeared beneath the edge of her sleeve, barely visible whenever she lifted her arm. Her features were sharp but composed, her expression neutral enough to reveal nothing as she carried a medication tray from one room to the next.
A sudden crash came from the room she had just entered.
