Hong Bo was dressed in comfortable clothes.
It had been a terrible night. She had barely slept, and the pain in her stomach still hadn't gone away.
At the airport, she wore the usual disguise: black clothes from head to toe, a face mask, and sunglasses large enough to hide most of the exhaustion etched across her face.
Right now, she had only one goal.
Get home.
Sleep.
Rest.
She walked through the airport terminal looking for a familiar face, but the driver who was supposed to pick her up was nowhere to be found—or at least, she couldn't spot him.
Hong Bo reached for her phone.
The screen remained black.
She stared at it for a moment before remembering.
Of course.
She hadn't charged it.
"Great..."
There was no way to contact John and confirm who was supposed to be waiting for her.
She looked around again.
Still no one.
With a quiet sigh, she started toward one of the charging stations scattered throughout the airport.
Five minutes.
That was all she needed.
