From after seven o'clock when night fell, they were busy until deep into the night, yet they had only managed to clear less than one-tenth of the treasures in the cave.
During this time, the experts only sat down briefly to rest their backs and catch their breath, not daring to drink water for fear of the trouble of needing to use the toilet later.
When the distant clock struck midnight, the elderly experts still looked energetic, but Elder Dai decided not to push it any further.
"Heading back, heading back, going to get some sleep, will return when it's daylight... I still want to live a few more years."
With Elder Dai's words, Ah Gui and several others stepped forward, assisting the older gentlemen out with support on either side.
Turning to follow them out, Elder Dai turned back to point at Ye Wan, "Xiao Ye, this is up to you, make sure you guard it well..."
"Got it!"
Ye Wan nodded, with a teasing expression, "Aren't you afraid I'll pocket the treasures and take them home?"
