Later that night, at the bonfire, Ren and Evie sat side by side as they ate grilled meat and drank beer. They were chatting at the start, but they were both too conscious of each other, so the conversation died off, and now they sat in silence while drinking beer.
The others were minding their own business and left them alone. Some already went back to their rooms, while others were going here and there.
Ren threw a fleeting glance on Evie's way, and the latter also seemed to have the same idea, and their gazes met. They immediately averted their eyes while their faces went red.
After a short silence, they burst into laughter.
They were terrible at this. Even high schoolers were better than them.
