Using her magic, Evie blocked the incoming attacks as best as she could.
Waves of fire, slashes of steel, and bursts of force collided with her defenses one after another. For a few seconds, she managed to evade most of the damage, slipping through gaps and redirecting attacks with quick reflexes and well-timed spells.
But the pressure never stopped.
Soon, a hit slipped through.
Then another.
From that moment on, Evie's HP began to drop rapidly.
The damage stacked faster than she could recover. Her movements became tighter, more restrained, as she struggled against the overwhelming number of enemies surrounding her.
Evie had been in situations like this before—outnumbered, cornered, pushed to the brink.
Yet no matter how many times it happened, her heart still raced.
Her hands trembled as she cast spell after spell, watching cooldown timers tick down too slowly.
'I can't let this continue,' she thought grimly.
