Leonel looked up at the sky just as a deep rumble echoed overhead. Thick black clouds rolled across the horizon like an approaching tidal wave, swallowing the sunlight inch by inch.
"I think it's going to rain," he said.
Ragnar shot him a sideways glare. "You think?"
As if answering Leonel directly, a drizzle began to fall. It lasted only a moment before it turned into a heavy downpour. Rain slammed hard against their clothes, armor, and exposed skin. Wind howled in every direction, tugging at their cloaks and chilling the air until everything felt sharp and cold.
"This isn't my ideal setting for watching a horror movie," Leonel muttered, wiping rain from his eyes as he watched Jibblinplip move swiftly toward another patch of green in the distance—a forest.
