Evie felt the sudden silence and realized that Ren had gone quiet. She blinked and shifted her gaze toward him.
Was he staring at her this whole time? How long had he been silent? Did he ask her something just now? She wasn't even sure. She'd been too focused on his voice — that low, steady tone that somehow pulled her in without her noticing.
Her face warmed. She quickly looked away and cleared her throat. "You sure are knowledgeable," she said, trying to sound casual.
Ren tilted his head slightly, that familiar calm smile forming on his lips. "I gathered the information before."
At the side, Ragnar rolled his eyes. He knew better. Ren was lying through his teeth, and he didn't even flinch while doing it. That much detail — from the clans, to the symbols, to the rare classes — couldn't have been gathered in the short time they'd been here. Especially since Ren and Evie had spent most of those hours in a PvP fight.
