Some men wanted to hate him, but most couldn't. They respected him too much. At this point, many just wanted to be his friend, or at least get the chance to play alongside him.
But Ren's cool, unreadable aura made that difficult. He wasn't exactly approachable. There was a quiet intensity about him — calm, serious, and almost intimidating — that made people think twice before walking up to say hello and start a conversation.
He looked like the kind of guy who could end a conversation with a single glance.
Ren, however, had his own problems to worry about.
