"The turnstile," both Ren and Sumeri said at the same time. "Snipe it to the left."
"Huh?"
"Snipe?"
Everyone's eyes turned to their Sniper, who blinked and raised an eyebrow.
Ren pointed ahead. "Can you shoot that turnstile ten times to the left? More is fine, just do it before that jelly cube blocks it completely."
The Sniper didn't even ask why. He loaded his rifle, adjusted his aim, and fired. The gunshots echoed sharply through the chamber, each bullet spinning the turnstile a little farther to the left.
Then came the crash.
A heap of trash rained down on the far side, and the Gelatinous Cube froze mid-crawl. It made a strange gurgling noise, its slimy body twisting before it slowly turned away, following the new trail of waste.
Everyone exhaled in relief. The immediate danger was gone.
Roxy grinned, patting both Ren and Sumeri on the shoulder. "Okay, I'm impressed. How did you two figure that out?"
