She stepped closer, her eyes locked onto mine with an intensity that made me feel like I was being hunted. "I have never once met a man in my life and failed to get him once I made up my mind. You're just the latest project."
"What?!!" My jaw dropped. I was genuinely speechless at the sheer, unadulterated vanity of her statement.
"What? Did you think you were the first man in my life? Come on, Hye! Don't be so modest. There is a long, distinguished row of suitors before you," she said, her laughter like a serrated blade.
"F*ck off!" I snarled, turning away from her.
"Yeah, I like dirty words in bed," she laughed. I stood there, trembling with a mixture of rage and disbelief. I honestly didn't know what to do other than calculate the trajectory required to throw her off the side of my chariot and into the ruins below.
