The fight was already equally matched from the start. Both sides had poured massive amounts of energy into the opening salvos, but as the enemy made the tactical blunder of abandoning the advantage of the city walls and high-ground defences to engage us in the open field, they found themselves in a tight spot. That pressure only intensified the moment I joined the fray.
I started roaming around with my chariot, pushing the engines to their limit as I took a wide, sweeping circular path around the perimeter of the city walls.
By doing this, I created a growing "vacant area"—a kill zone that effectively severed the connection between the city and the field.
My high-speed passes and the suppressive fire from the chariot's mounted weapons prevented any enemy reinforcements from reaching the active battle zones.
At the same time, I effectively cut off the road of retreat for those bastards already engaged with our front lines.
