The Jumper seemed to get genuinely annoyed with our collective laughter and the lighthearted banter. With a dramatic huff, he went aside and took a far corner of the chariot's deck for himself, staring out at the passing landscape as if he were the only serious person in a world of fools.
The rest of the group didn't let his mood dampen theirs. They kept talking about how they would distribute the newly recruited forces among themselves, which compass directions each would take, and began to sketch out their grand movement plan on the map.
After a few intensive discussions with them, we all decided to extend our reach into southern Connecticut as well. It was nearby, and based on the fragments of the future I held, it wouldn't be as heavily damaged by the upcoming planetary crisis as the more central inland zones.
