The bunch of wealthy-looking men and women seemed to not like what was going on here one bit.
I didn't know why, but just looking at their polished faces and indignant expressions in the middle of a literal war zone made me feel nauseous! The world was ending, yet they still carried the stench of entitlement like a heavy perfume.
Each one of them had a dedicated group of bodyguards protecting them. The "vips" themselves weren't originally many in number, counting less than twenty individuals. Yet, when adding the ten big guards on each one's side, the total number became like a small, private army.
The most noticeable thing about their guards wasn't their numbers, but the full armour they wore.
They weren't just wearing scrap metal or makeshift padding; they had high-grade double weapons, reinforced helmets, and even enchanted-looking gauntlets and boots. They had everything!
