Chapter 358 - Chapter 367 The Indiscriminate Stadium Threatening Case part 2

"What's wrong?"

Aizen asked, not retracting his hand.

Sato Miwako said, "You know I'm just a patrol officer now. It's not that I look down on patrol officers, but relatively speaking, I'd rather return to my old position. The inspector has already promised me that if I perform well in this case, he'll transfer me back. So..."

Aizen took over, "So, you want me to help you catch the criminal, right?"

"Yes, that's right. Please, Aizen!"

Sato Miwako nodded vigorously. In the past, she would have worked hard on the case herself, but this case was crucial to her return to the First Investigation Division, so she was extremely concerned and immediately thought of asking Aizen for help. This was also proof that she had been influenced by Aizen. If she didn't, she wouldn't have thought of him.

Aizen smiled and said, "Leave it to me. I'll do my best to get you back to your original position."

"Thank you, Aizen,"

Sato Miwako was overjoyed. After thanking her, she realized she had been holding Aizen's hand. She immediately let go and looked away, feeling shy.

Aizen smiled slightly and said, "Sato, tell me what's going on."

"Aizen, let's go outside and find the inspector. I'll tell you on the way," Sato Miwako said to Aizen, then turned and walked outside.

Aizen followed, walking beside Sato Miwako.

On the way, after listening to Sato Miwako's story, Aizen finally understood the details of the case. Sato Miwako didn't know much, after all, the police had only just arrived. From Sato Miwako, Aizen learned that the case was connected to the Detective Boys, and it was Conan who discovered something was amiss.

Outside the arena, next to the broadcast van, Aizen encountered familiar faces like Megure Jusan and the Detective Boys.

"Brother Aizen, I didn't expect you to be here. I'm going to need your help this time."

Megure Jusan was delighted to see Aizen. His past help had taught him that he was a capable young man, even more reliable than his mentor, Mouri Kogoro.

"I'll do my best!"

Aizen nodded, then asked, "Officer Megure, what's going on?"

Megure Jusan said, "Not long ago, the criminal called and asked Nichiuri TV to leave 50 million in cash at Exit 18 during intermission, and the criminal would go and get it. So far, we've been able to confirm that there are at least two criminals, one of whom is carrying a pistol and a telescope."

Aizen checked his watch and said, "It won't be long until intermission. What are you going to do, officers?"

Megure Jusan said, "For now, we can only ambush at Exit 18 and see if we can catch the criminal."

Aizen nodded and said, "Officers, go arrest the suspect. I'll check the footage from the TV cameras to see if I can find anything."

Megure Jusan looked at Director Kaneko and said, "Kaneko, is that okay?"

"Yes, of course!"

Director Kaneko nodded immediately, without objection.

Megure Jusan left with the officers, and the Junior Detectives followed suit. However, Haibara Ai didn't follow, but followed Aizen into the director's van. The van was filled with live footage from all the cameras, and Aizen stood there watching. He had a familiar impression of the case, and with his preconceived notions, he quickly determined who the culprit was. However, he held off on revealing the truth, waiting for an opportunity.

Today, Aizen was planning to apprehend Ryoko Akagi, so he wasn't going to waste time. He was determined to be a good person and solve the case as quickly as possible, a chance to impress Sato Miwako and gain her favor.

Ai Haibara asked, "How's it going? Have you found the culprit?"

"Not yet."

Aizen shook his head, looking down at her. "Why did you come to the game? Aren't you afraid of being caught on camera?"

"Conan insisted, and he said I wouldn't be caught wearing a hat. I figured it wouldn't make sense for me to be so unlucky, so I didn't refuse,"

Ai Haibara said, pressing the hat down on her head.

Aizen nodded, "Just know what's going on."

Ai Haibara nodded without saying anything else. She knew what she was doing. She was content with her life now, and she didn't want her mistakes to ruin it by leading the organization to find her.

Not long after, halftime arrived, and Aizen's phone rang. It was Ryoko Akagi calling.

Because Ai Haibara was nearby, Aizen didn't answer the call immediately. Instead, he got out of the director's van and went outside to answer it. He told Akagi to watch the game alone first, and that she wouldn't need to come find him. He would try to get back to her as soon as possible.

Shortly after the call with Ryoko Akagi ended, Sato Miwako emerged, found Aizen, and delivered some bad news.

While trying to apprehend a criminal who had gone to collect cash, the police were threatened by his accomplices in the arena. Ultimately, they were forced to release the criminal and demanded he pay 1 billion yen in cash, threatening to kill someone in the arena as revenge against Nihonmuri TV and the police.Upon hearing this, Aizen knew this was an opportunity and immediately asked Sato Miwako to go with him to the director's van to identify the culprit.

The footage from the first half was gathered together, and Sato Miwako pointed out the culprit to Aizen.

After confirming that the culprit Sato Miwako had pointed out was the same one he had found, Aizen had a clue and held his chin in his hand, deliberately pondering. He needed to buy time, pretending to think, waiting for the second half to begin. It would be too quick to find the culprit immediately, and it would be better to wait a while until he found the culprit.

The 15-minute halftime break passed quickly, and Aizen deliberately waited another two or three minutes, pretending to observe the footage captured by the camera, before allowing Sato Miwako to follow him out of the director's van.
