Chapter 127 - Champion(RWBY/WC)-4

"You abandoned me!" Ruby cried out as she started to land devastating blows on the traitor's side!

"Ruby, stop. It tickles." The traitor tried to trick her into stopping her assault but Ruby Rose, current Beacon student and future hero, would not let herself be tricked!

"How can you just leave me there like that! I ended up exploding!"

"Oh come on, I'm sure it wasn't that bad." Yang waved her off with a smile as she laid down on her makeshift bed. Uncaring of her sister's adorable glare or the lecherous looks from some of the boys around her. She was beautiful and proud of it.

Unlike Ruby whose glare had left her sister's face and shifted towards her chest. It didn't matter, she was still growing, milk would help her!

"Come on Ruby, stop acting like that." Ruby was taken out of her thoughts by her sister's hands suddenly clamping on her cheeks and smooshing them together.

"Someone as cute as you doesn't get to all frowny!" And then she tackled her to the ground and wrapped her arms around Ruby.

"Gah, betrayed by my own cuteness!" Ruby cried out as she tried to get her sister off of her neck, she could feel the air in her body going down to critical levels!

This conflict of sisters continued for several minutes before, finally, Ruby managed to get out of Yang's embrace but at the cost of flying backwards and crashing onto someone.

"I'm sorry!" The young Rose immediately turned around and tried to bow in order to apologize, which only ended up making things worse as she felt her head collide with the person she crashed into once more.

"Ow!" It really hurt.

"You okay?" The person she crashed into asked and holy cookies he was big! He was almost, if not, as tall as her dad!

"Ruby!" Before she could say anything her sister came running towards them, looking panicky.

"Sorry, we kinda forgot where we were." The blonde girl said with an awkward laugh as she scratched the back of her head.

"It's no problem." The guy she crashed into said with a small smile as he bent down in order to pick Ruby up from her armpits and placed her gently to the ground. "I think some excitement is to be expected at this stage, I'm Baki by the way." But Ruby was no longer listening. No, her gaze was firmly placed on the man's waist where a katana was strapped to.

"Yang Xiao Long. And this is my sister, Ruby. She normally doesn't just stare at people in the crotch area."

"Yang!" Ruby cried out with embarrassment, not appreciating the way her sister laughed at her.

"It is no issue." Baki said with a chuckle as he pulled the katana from its place and presented it to Ruby. "But I think her interests lies more closely to this."

"Thank you." Ruby said with a smile as she gripped the sword but then frowned with confusion as she saw no mechanism for mechashift on the handle or the scabbard, pulling the sword a little showed that it wasn't made out or coated with dust either. For all intents and purposes this katana was…

"Normal?" She muttered, but not low enough as Bali snorted at her.

"Yup. I'm a bit new to this whole weapons thing, so I simply took something useful for the entrance exam. I'll be looking for proper weapons after getting in." He said with a smile, making her confused about how he could be new to weapons.

"After? Not if?" Yang asked with a smile as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"After, I'll be having no problems with the exam after all." Baki said with utmost seriousness, no arrogance of bravado in his voice. He genuinely believed that there was no way he wouldn't be passing the exam.

She kinda wanted to be that confident herself.

"Heh, nice. How did you get by before with no weapons though?" Yang asked.

"Never met something my hands and feet were insufficient against." He said with a shrug and Ruby could feel her stomach drop at the predatory glint in her sister's eyes.

He was a male Yang. Hell, he was actually worse since Yang technically used weapons since Ember Celica could shoot dust rounds.

"So I'll be using some basic things before making my own weapons." Then again, there still might be hope.

"Still, are you sure about taking the exam with this?" She asked as she raised the katana in her hand. "It's not exactly of poor quality but it might break against a Grimm with a strong exoskeleton, like an Ursa Major." Granted the chances of a B rank Grimm like that appearing in the exam likely wasn't high, it wasn't zero though.

"Then I'll use this." Baki simply said as he pulled out another katana, this one shorter than the one in Ruby's hands. "And if that fails, I shall use other options." He declared as he pulled out a pair of pistols, a pair of hooks, a pair of knuckle dusters and a baton that transformed into a short spear.

"Where were you keeping those things?" Ruby heard Yang ask but she didn't care for the answer. She didn't need answers, she had weapons!

It was fun. She had been in a state of excitement crossed over with depression from the moment she set foot on Beacon, mostly due to the awkwardness from the fact that she was two years younger than any of the other first years and the small fiasco with that white haired girl that she had been caught up in an explosion with. So, this kind of small talk was really helping her mood.

"So you skipped two grades huh?" She was shaken out of her thoughts by the question and realized that Baki and Yang had talked quite a bit while she was focused on weapons.

"Um, yeah."

"That is impressive, I had merely thought that you were short." What?

"I'm not short!" And she never would be, for she drank milk regularly!

"Compared to most in here, you are." The boy that was taller than her father said with a deadpan. "Though you are definitely not the shortest, I didn't think that you were just younger."

"…is it really ok though?" She muttered with a frown. "Do I really deserve be here? Even though everyone spent more time than me in order to get here."

"Ruby…" Yang started to say something but was interrupted.

"That doesn't matter." Baki said with steel in his tone.

"You are not here to be a teacher or a scientist or some sort of lawyer. You are here in order to become a warrior, meant to cut down the enemies who threaten mankind." He continued as he draw one of the katanas, the longer one, from its sheath.

"How much time people spent is worthless compared to ability. You were chosen to be here for your abilities and that's all that matters." He declared and patted her head with a smile.

"Noone can change that." And Ruby felt her worries just melt away into nothing before his words.
