:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

A sudden, colossal gust carved through the battlefield like an invisible blade.

The air itself seemed to howl. A giant, ten-glyph wind current materialized out of nothingness, spiraling with terrifying precision. It sliced across the towering zombie's body before anyone could even react. For a fraction of a second, everything froze — sound, motion, even breath. Then the impossible happened.

The massive zombie stopped mid-stride.

Its grotesque, forty-meter frame trembled once, as if confused by what had just occurred. Deep cracks of force rippled across its swollen flesh. Without warning, the body separated cleanly into four enormous sections. The pieces slid apart with a wet, thunderous sound before collapsing onto the ground like falling buildings.

Bang… boom…

Each fragment hit with seismic weight, shaking the earth beneath the White House. Dust, debris, and blackened blood sprayed outward. The shockwave knocked several nearby zombies off their feet. The smaller undead that had been crawling over its legs were crushed instantly, reduced to pulp beneath their former titan.

For a brief moment, silence dominated.

Even the relentless groans of the infected seemed stunned.

Claire's eyes widened. "What… what was that?"

Chris lowered his bazooka slowly, disbelief etched across his face. "That attack… it wasn't artillery."

Jill exhaled smoke, her gaze sharp, scanning the sky. "No. That was him."

Alice straightened despite the throbbing pain behind her temples. She could still feel the echo of the psychic strain from her earlier pulse wave. But now, something else pushed through the haze — recognition.

A familiar presence.

Teri's hands tightened together unconsciously. "Jack…"

The divided zombie's body twitched on the ground. As before, countless smaller zombies began surging toward the fallen pieces, crawling, climbing, merging. Flesh stitched flesh. Bone rebuilt bone. The regeneration was grotesque and unstoppable.

But before the fusion could complete —

Another violent distortion tore through the air.

A pressure drop. A shift. A ripple that felt like reality itself being disturbed.

High above, clouds spiraled outward.

And then —

He appeared.

Jack descended from the sky slowly, suspended in midair as though gravity no longer held authority over him. His expression carried that same infuriating calm — relaxed, amused, utterly unconcerned. Around him, faint streams of light-cyan, scarlet-red, deep blue, yellow-earthen, and snow-white energy flickered like orbiting spirits.

Wind. Fire. Water. Earth. Ice.

Five corpse gem powers flowing in harmony.

Claire stared upward, relief and frustration colliding in her chest. "He's late…"

Alice's lips curved faintly despite herself. "But he came."

Below, the battlefield roared back to life.

"Roarrrrr——!"

The fragmented giant zombie began pulling itself together again, furious beyond comprehension. Multiple massive limbs formed simultaneously, rising from the merged flesh like a nightmare reassembling itself.

Jack tilted his head slightly.

"So noisy."

His hand lifted lazily.

The wind screamed.

Another ten-glyph air current erupted downward, sharper, denser, rotating like a colossal drill. It tore straight through the regenerating mass. This time there was no pause, no hesitation. The force shredded tissue faster than it could rebuild.

Boom!!

The giant zombie exploded into a storm of rotten flesh.

Black blood rained across the snow and shattered concrete. Smaller zombies were ripped apart by the violent turbulence. Bodies disintegrated midair. Limbs spun away like leaves in a hurricane.

Chris blinked. "…Damn."

Wesker watched from the rooftop edge, eyes glowing faint red. No smugness. No superiority. Only calculation. Only tension.

"That level of control…"

Jill muttered under her breath, "Still showing off."

But the threat was far from over.

Beyond the broken fence, dozens of other massive zombies continued advancing. Some were still mid-fusion, grotesque forms swelling larger as undead bodies merged like living clay. The sky darkened again with mutated bats circling in chaotic spirals.

Jack sighed theatrically.

"You people really attract trouble."

Alice crossed her arms, voice dry despite the fatigue. "We manage without you too."

Jack smirked. "Sure you do."

A colossal zombie lunged forward.

Jack vanished.

A sonic crack echoed.

He reappeared directly in front of the creature, fist already moving. Five elemental energies converged into a single devastating strike.

Bang!!!

The impact caved in the zombie's skull like paper.

Flames erupted from the fracture. Ice spikes burst outward. A shock of compressed wind detonated through the torso. The entire upper body vaporized under the combined force.

Fragments scattered across the battlefield.

The remaining giants hesitated.

For the first time — fear.

Teri whispered, almost breathless, "He's stronger…"

Claire didn't answer. She couldn't. Her eyes remained locked on Jack, memories, emotions, contradictions twisting inside her.

Jack moved again.

Teleportation flashes rippled across the field.

Each reappearance ended in annihilation — sword slashes, elemental blasts, crushing blows. Giant zombies collapsed one after another. The mutated bats diving from above were shredded by razor-like wind arcs before they could reach the ground.

The militants below stared in stunned awe.

Hope — fragile, dangerous — flickered.

But then —

The ground cracked violently.

A deeper, heavier vibration rolled beneath their feet.

Wesker's expression changed instantly. "Something bigger is coming."

From the distant sea beyond the White House perimeter, a monstrous silhouette began rising. Water churned violently. Waves swelled unnaturally high.

Claire's breath caught. "No…"

A colossal shape emerged.

Another fusion.

Another abomination.

This one dwarfed the previous giants.

Alice clenched her jaw. "Red Queen…"

As if responding to their dread, every remaining zombie surged forward simultaneously. The sky darkened completely. The battlefield became a storm of movement, hunger, destruction.

Jack hovered midair again, watching the rising monstrosity.

His eyes gleamed.

Not fear.

Excitement.

"Well… that's more like it."

Jill groaned. "Of course he's enjoying this."

Chris lifted his weapon again. "Can you handle that thing?!"

Jack didn't look back.

"Watch closely."

Five elemental energies erupted outward.

The air warped.

And the true battle began.
