Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

The corpse dragon flew at full speed, its massive body tearing through the air like a black shadow. Even while fleeing, it kept turning its head to look behind, its blood-red eyes filled with vigilance and unease. That terrifying presence had not chased it immediately, and this silence only made the corpse dragon more nervous. From experience, it knew that true danger often came when the enemy stopped rushing.

Its attention remained fixed on the rear.

But it did not look forward.

High above the clouds directly in front of it, Jack stood calmly on Shura King's back. His posture was relaxed, almost lazy, yet his gaze was sharp and cold. From this height, the fleeing corpse dragon looked insignificant, like prey already trapped in an invisible net.

Shura King observed the creature with undisguised contempt. He said that the reptile was foolish, still staring backward, unaware of what lay ahead.

Jack replied lightly that this great one wanted to play with it slowly. He said that the first step would be to cut off its wings.

Shura King said that he understood.

In the next instant, Shura King's enormous steel wings snapped open. The violent sound of metal slicing through air echoed across the sky. His massive body dove downward like a falling mountain, carrying overwhelming pressure.

The corpse dragon suddenly heard a terrifying whistling sound. Instinctively, it raised its head and looked forward. For a brief moment, it saw nothing but clouds.

Then its pupils shrank violently.

That terrifying colossus was already right above it.

The corpse dragon had no time to dodge. A flash of cold black light passed through its vision, followed by an overwhelming impact. Shura King's steel claws tore into its side with brutal precision.

A deafening roar erupted from the corpse dragon's throat. Black blood sprayed outward like a fountain, staining the sky. One of its massive wings was severed completely.

With one wing gone, the corpse dragon instantly lost balance. It screamed in agony as its body spun uncontrollably and crashed into the sea below. The surrounding water was quickly dyed dark by its blood.

The corpse dragon thrashed wildly in the water, roaring in pain. Waves splashed in all directions, as if the sea itself was reacting to its suffering.

Jack hovered above, watching calmly. He commented that this pain was only the beginning, and that the truly satisfying part was still ahead.

Shura King asked whether his lord minded if he attacked again and ended it in one strike.

Jack answered that he did not mind at all, but reminded him not to kill it yet.

Shura King acknowledged the order.

He opened his massive jaws, and a giant stream of flame poured downward, engulfing the corpse dragon completely. The fire burned fiercely, refusing to extinguish even upon contact with the sea.

Shura King said aggressively that he would make this reptile understand what true flame was.

Jack, however, calmly reminded him not to underestimate it. He said that the quality of this creature's flame was exceptional, which meant its body was equally valuable.

Shura King agreed.

The corpse dragon roared furiously. Being burned by another's flames enraged it completely. It had truly underestimated its enemy.

Suddenly, a violent wave of blazing fire erupted from the corpse dragon's body. The surrounding seawater was instantly evaporated, forming a brief vacuum.

Shura King observed that the quality of its flames was indeed high.

Jack's voice carried clear malicious intent as he said that this was exactly why its body contained something he needed.

The corpse dragon panted heavily. Losing one wing had caused catastrophic damage, and the continuous eruption of flames consumed enormous energy. At this moment, escape became its only choice. Living, even in humiliation, was better than dying here.

With a furious roar, the corpse dragon plunged into the sea, trying to flee.

Shura King informed his lord that the creature was attempting to escape.

Jack replied calmly that it would not be able to run away. He then casually asked whether Shura King was interested in eating raw meat.

Shura King replied that he was not interested.

Jack said that was good.

A sharp light flashed in Jack's eyes. Without hesitation, he hurled the black longsword in his hand straight into the sea.

Beneath the surface, the corpse dragon was swimming at full speed. The turbulent sound of rushing currents suddenly reached its ears. It turned its head slightly, but by then it was already too late.

With a sharp tearing sound, the black longsword pierced through its back and burst out from its abdomen. The terrifying power contained within the blade dragged the corpse dragon's massive body violently downward.

The sword embedded itself deep into the seabed rock with a metallic clang, pinning the corpse dragon in place.

Above the sea, Jack looked down calmly and told Shura King to bring it back.

Shura King acknowledged and plunged into the sea, sending towering waves upward.

Moments later, the ocean exploded again. Shura King emerged, carrying Jack on his back. His steel jaws were clamped firmly around the corpse dragon's broken body as he flew swiftly toward the shore.

When the colossal body descended onto land, the ground trembled repeatedly.

Jack jumped down from Shura King's back and told him to eat it.

Shura King loosened his jaws, dropping the corpse dragon onto the ground. Jack pulled the black great sword out of its body in one motion, causing the corpse dragon to let out a final agonized roar.

A massive steel leg stepped down onto the corpse dragon's body, completely pinning it. No matter how it struggled, it could not break free.

Shura King bit down violently, tearing apart the remaining wing and ripping flesh from the corpse dragon's body. Its tail and limbs were torn off one after another.

Jack watched calmly as the corpse dragon continued to scream. He remarked that its vitality was impressive, but it had already reached its limit.

Jack drove the longsword straight into the corpse dragon's abdomen and twisted it. A basketball-sized scarlet bead shot out.

Jack caught it in his hand and identified it as the Fire Corpse Gem.

The corpse dragon finally died. Its howls ceased completely.

Jack said lightly that it was finished.

As he spoke, his body decomposed from the Second-layered Form back into the First-layered Form, then returned fully to human form.

Shura King said that his body could also decompose, and that when his lord needed him again, he would return.

Shura King's massive form broke down into layers of silver-white Transformium particles drifting through the air.

With a wave of Jack's hand, a blue light flashed and all the particles vanished.

Jack looked at the Fire Corpse Gem in his hand and muttered that perhaps the Fire Corpse Gem, Water Corpse Gem, and Wind Corpse Gem were all necessary.

Standing on the steamship deck, Jack looked at the scorched surface and the corpses lying everywhere. He commented that he had arrived a bit late, but that this was acceptable—after all, the Resident Evil 5 storyline was beginning.

He noted that the Kamchatka Strait was somewhat remote.

Jack descended onto the steamship. Since there were aircraft onboard, using them would save time and effort.

He walked toward a helicopter and climbed inside.

Then he paused.

Jack stared forward and said quietly, "White Queen?"
