Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

Bang!
The deafening explosion echoed through the courtyard like a cannon firing at point-blank range. The massive mutated zombie raised its enormous iron axe and smashed it down onto the iron gate with terrifying force. Sparks flew, dust rained from above, and the entire structure shook violently. Several of the more timid survivors screamed and staggered backward, fear overwhelming their already fragile nerves.
The mutated zombie was grotesque beyond imagination. Its body was swollen and twisted, muscles bulging unnaturally beneath decaying skin. Thick veins crawled across its arms like iron cables, pulsing with violent strength. The iron axe in its hands looked absurdly small compared to its massive frame, yet every swing carried enough power to destroy concrete.
Luther stared at the monster outside the gate, his scalp going numb.
"FUCK! What kind of ghost thing is that?!"
Another heavy impact followed.
Bang! Bang!
The iron gate vibrated violently, bending inward by a few centimeters. Rust flakes fell like rain. Everyone could tell—the gate wouldn't last much longer.
"We have to move, now!" Chris shouted. He turned sharply and led several people toward a nearby garage. "There's an armored anti-riot vehicle inside. If we can get it running, we can crush our way out!"
The sound of the axe striking metal continued behind them, relentless and brutal, like a countdown ticking toward death.
"But the garage door is locked tight," Ortiz said anxiously, his voice trembling despite his attempt to stay composed. "How are we supposed to open it?"
Chris stopped and turned his head toward Jack, his gaze sharp and calculating.
"Have this guy kick it open. He kicked open the iron cage earlier—this should be easy for him."
Jack glanced at him lazily, as if the entire scene were none of his concern.
"Daddy doesn't do odd jobs for free."
The air froze.
Several people clenched their fists in anger, but none dared to say anything.
"Then maybe we can shut down the lock manually," Ortiz suggested hurriedly, sweat dripping down his face.
"Then I hope you're fast," Jack said with a faint smile, already turning away. "Before that big fellow gets inside."
Claire hesitated for a second, glancing at Alice and the others. Then, without another word, she hurried after Jack.
"Where are you going?" Alice asked coldly, her tone sharp and filled with suspicion.
"Taking a short break," Jack replied casually without turning his head. "Refueling. I favor you."
"That bastard…" Luther muttered, clenching his fists until his knuckles turned white.
"He's not worried at all," Ortiz said bitterly. "He hasn't helped with anything."
Alice's eyes grew colder.
"Because he doesn't care. Zombies can't hurt him. He enjoys standing above everyone else, watching us struggle."
Chris frowned deeply.
"Then who exactly is he?"
Alice let out a cold laugh.
"A very powerful man. And not a good one. You're still alive, so consider yourself lucky. But also unlucky—because if he wants you dead, it would take less than a second."
The South Korean man swallowed hard, fear written clearly across his face.
"He… he's really that dangerous?"
"You'll find out soon enough," Alice replied quietly.
Luther glanced at her.
"Then why are you still with him?"
A flash of shame and resentment crossed Alice's eyes. Her jaw tightened.
"Because I want to kill him."
Ortiz chuckled nervously.
"Doesn't look like it. The way you look at him… it's complicated."
"You're mistaken," Alice snapped, clearly unwilling to continue the topic.
---
Jack and Claire climbed toward the rooftop as the wind grew stronger, carrying with it the stench of blood and decay. The White Queen was already there, standing near the edge, her white dress fluttering slightly.
"Jack," Claire asked softly, "why are we coming up here?"
Jack smiled lightly.
"To handle the same thing as last night."
Claire's face flushed instantly. She reached out and twisted Jack's waist sharply.
"Are you insane? Doing that on the roof in broad daylight?"
Jack laughed.
"I'm joking. But honestly… it would feel quite exciting."
The White Queen tilted her head, studying Jack with curiosity.
"Is the male lead really this interesting? Humans seem extremely attached to such activities. I don't quite understand."
"You don't need to understand that," Claire said firmly. "You're still a child."
"Everyone grows up eventually," Jack said with an evil grin. "White Queen—no, little radish—later I can teach you properly."
The White Queen immediately shrank back.
"I think… that won't be necessary."
"No bad influence on children," Claire warned sharply.
"Relax," Jack said calmly. "I'm very experienced in educating children. Right, White Queen?"
"…Yes. Right," the White Queen replied quickly under Jack's threatening gaze.
This strange uncle was truly terrifying.
The three reached the rooftop. Jack walked straight toward the helicopter.
"Why are you going to the helicopter?" Claire asked suspiciously. "Didn't you say there was no fuel?"
"That's because," the White Queen said calmly, "there's actually plenty of fuel. Enough to fly over a hundred kilometers."
"What?!" Claire stared at Jack in shock. "Then why did you lie to everyone?"
Jack turned to her, his expression suddenly gentle and sincere.
"Claire, I only want to protect you. The lives of others don't matter to me. Will you blame me?"
Claire shook her head without hesitation.
"I don't blame you."
Jack smiled faintly.
"Good. Then let's use the computer."
"Just the three of us?" Claire hesitated. "Not taking the others?"
Jack nodded.
"The world has changed, Claire. Weak people don't survive. Saving them once won't save them twice."
Claire was silent for a moment, then nodded slowly.
"I understand."
She climbed into the helicopter.
Jack and the White Queen followed. The engine roared to life, blades spinning violently as the helicopter slowly lifted into the air.
"Look!" Luther shouted, pointing upward.
"They had fuel all along!" Ortiz yelled angrily.
Alice sneered.
"You really believed him?"
"He… he tricked us?" Kim Yong said blankly. "Why didn't he take us?"
Alice replied coldly.
"He won't save anyone. Be grateful he didn't kill you."
Luther slammed his fist against the wall.
"Damn it!"
Chris's expression darkened.
"He took my sister."
"Relax," Alice said calmly. "He won't hurt her."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Look!" Kim Yong suddenly shouted. "The helicopter slowed down! He's coming back for us!"
Luther shook his head grimly.
"Don't be stupid. That man isn't kind."
The helicopter hovered about thirty meters above the ground and stopped.
Kim Yong waved desperately.
"Are you rescuing us? Take us with you!"
Jack leaned slightly out and waved back cheerfully.
"Hello! Please work hard. I'm just visiting—blowing some air. Need to refuel."
"FUCK YOU!" Luther roared, raising the machine gun and firing wildly.
Jack sighed in disappointment.
"Such ingratitude."
Every bullet stopped three meters from the helicopter, blocked by an invisible force.
"Useless," Alice said flatly. "Stop wasting ammo."
Chris stared in disbelief.
"Superpowers… I never thought I'd see this in real life."
"Stick to the plan," Alice said coldly. "Ignore him."
Bang!
The iron gate finally collapsed.
The mutated zombie let out a deafening roar and charged forward, leading the zombie horde into the courtyard.
Chaos erupted.
