Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

Claire felt a trace of embarrassment rise in her chest, but it disappeared almost as quickly as it came. She lifted her chin and looked at Alice with calm indifference, her gaze steady and unflinching.

"What is there to be ashamed of?" Claire said coolly. "Between husband and wife, isn't this completely normal? Or are you the one peeping here? If anyone should worry about dignity, shouldn't it be you?"

Alice inhaled deeply. The night air was cold, but it couldn't cool the turmoil in her chest.

"Claire," Alice said slowly, forcing her voice to remain steady, "he is not your husband."

Claire frowned faintly, turning her head toward Alice.

"He isn't?" she asked, uncertainty flickering across her face for only a moment.

A complicated expression flashed through Alice's eyes—shame, resentment, anger, and a bitterness she refused to name. On a physical level, she had indeed crossed a line with Jack before. That fact alone made her words feel heavier, dirtier, less convincing.

"Believe whatever you want," Alice said coldly after a pause. "I only hope you won't regret it."

"Regret is my own matter," Claire replied indifferently. "It has nothing to do with you. Jack, let's continue."

She reached up and wrapped her arms around Jack's neck, her movement natural, intimate, and without hesitation.

Jack turned his head slightly and smiled at Alice, the smile sharp and provocative.

"Alice," he said lightly, "you don't want to watch, do you?"

"Shameless," Alice replied coldly. "Jack, you bastard."

She turned away abruptly and walked off, her steps heavy, each one pounding against the rooftop like a suppressed scream.

Claire watched Jack carefully, studying his expression.

"I feel like something happened between you and her," she said softly.

"Wife," Jack replied, leaning closer, his voice low and soothing, "now is not the time to think about that."

He lowered his head and kissed Claire, decisively ending the conversation.

[ HERE IS A SEXUAL / INTIMATE SCENE – OMITTED AS REQUESTED ]

---

Soon after, Claire's voice echoed faintly across the prison rooftop, mixed with indistinct sounds that carried far in the still night.

Several men inside the prison swallowed unconsciously. It had been far too long since they had heard anything like that—proof that life, crude and raw, still continued even at the edge of extinction.

"This is disgusting," Ortiz said angrily. "Doing this kind of thing here—are they deliberately provoking us?"

The diminutive South Korean man's face twisted with envy.

"I… I need to go take care of something," he muttered, turning away in a hurry.

Luther let out a dry laugh.

"He's probably going to find a place to shoot the airplane."

Ortiz grinned faintly.

"Honestly, I also feel like going somewhere to cool off."

"You idiot," Luther said, hitting Ortiz lightly on the shoulder.

Not far away, Alice clenched her fists until her knuckles turned white. Her nails dug into her palms, drawing blood she didn't notice.

"Damn it…" she muttered.

Her emotions were in chaos—anger, humiliation, resentment, and an irritation she couldn't name. She told herself repeatedly that none of this concerned her, that Claire's choices weren't her responsibility.

But the sounds carried by the wind made that impossible.

No matter how tightly she covered her ears, she could still hear them.

Ten minutes passed. Then twenty.

An hour.

Two hours.

Alice felt as if something inside her was cracking.

"These people…" she pressed her hands harder against her ears, breathing unevenly. The hatred inside her churned violently, but she couldn't even explain its source.

The White Queen sat nearby on a broken chair, swinging her legs slightly, her expression puzzled.

"Is the male lead really this happy?" she murmured to herself. "Humans are… strangely unstoppable."

On the Rooftop

"Jack… I'm not okay," Claire said weakly. "Really… stop."

Jack finally paused, his expression showing faint dissatisfaction.

"Alright," he said reluctantly.

Claire looked apologetic.

"You're really… intense."

Jack laughed proudly.

"Right? I feel the same."

Then Claire hesitated, her brow knitting slightly.

"But… why does it feel like my first time? Weren't we already—"

Jack sighed softly, his expression gentle and sincere.

"On the day we got married, zombies destroyed everything. After that, we were always running. There was never time."

"Oh… so that's why," Claire said quietly, accepting the explanation without suspicion.

"Wife," Jack said affectionately, "we should stay together like this."

"Yes," Claire replied softly, her voice filled with trust.

A faint glint of malicious amusement flickered deep in Jack's eyes.

He wondered what would happen when Claire eventually recovered her memories.

The thought alone was… fascinating.

Underground Basement

Deep underground, behind reinforced glass and heavy iron restraints, a man sat shackled.

"Hello, brother-in-law," a voice suddenly said.

The man looked up sharply, muscles tensing.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Jack," the voice replied cheerfully. "Nice to meet you."

"Jack?" The man stood and approached the glass, eyes sharp and hostile. "What do you want?"

"Of course I came to see my brother-in-law."

"Brother-in-law?" the man snarled. "What relationship do you have with Claire?"

"Chris," Jack said calmly, "if I call you brother-in-law, isn't it obvious what my relationship with Claire is?"

The man—Chris Redfield—stared at Jack coldly.

"Before I see Claire, I won't acknowledge anything. Where is she?"

"She's here," Jack replied casually.

"Let me out. I must see her," Chris demanded.

Jack smiled.

"You're very impolite. Why do you think I would let you out?"

"Because you need me," Chris said in a low, steady voice. "If you want to leave this place, I can help."

"Brother-in-law," Jack said lightly, "you're too arrogant. Getting out of here is easy for me. Do you know why I'm here?"

"Why?"

"Because I want to play."

"Play?" Chris sneered. "I haven't seen someone this arrogant in a long time."

"You'll understand soon."

"Boy," Chris said sharply, "if you're really Claire's man, let me see her."

Footsteps echoed down the stairs.

Luther and Alice arrived.

Alice's gaze was sharp and icy as she looked at Jack.

"What are you doing?" Luther asked.

"Chatting with my brother-in-law," Jack replied with a smile.

"Brother-in-law?" Luther blinked in shock.

Alice frowned slightly and looked at Chris.

"What is your relationship with Claire?"

"I'm her older brother," Chris said immediately, excitement flashing in his eyes. "So she really is here."

"I hope she still recognizes you," Alice said coldly.

"What do you mean?" Chris demanded.

"She lost her memory," Alice said evenly. "And mistook someone else for her husband."

Chris's expression changed instantly. Rage surged into his eyes as he turned back toward Jack.

"You're deceiving my sister."

The air in the underground chamber grew heavy, thick with hostility and unresolved tension, as if something violent was inevitable.
