The appearance of a Celestial Dragon on Fish-Man Island, and the wretched state he was in, left readers brimming with curiosity about what would come next.

Thus, readers kept turning pages with insatiable hunger, and the pace of chapter consumption kept rising. The sun had just passed its zenith; in other words, it was already one in the afternoon.

Given that climates differ from island to island, the sun wasn't visible everywhere. On the other half of the world, it was already night, which meant not everyone was reading the volumes the moment they dropped.

At any rate, those lucky enough to be in the bright half of the world at that moment were already in the thick of the exciting events.

The arc that seemed a little dull at first glance actually carried stories of characters whose imprint was profound for their own race: a hero rising from a neglected street, freeing slaves from the top of the world, roaming the seas as a pirate, returning a human child to her mother's arms—only to be betrayed by humans and to die unwilling to live by virtue of human blood. He died unable to love the humans who had been the cause of his suffering.

Then there was a righteous queen who loved and cared for her people; she went far beyond that, with a dream to move her entire race to live under the sun side-by-side with humans. She had already begun to put that ambition into practice, having returned from Mary Geoise with a petition signed by the kings of the human world. She needed hundreds of thousands of her people's signatures to make humans see the Fish-Men's desire to live alongside them. But that plan never saw the light, because not even a single Fish-Man wished to trust humans—let alone hundreds of thousands.

Between the Fish-Men's refusal and the queen's resolve, human readers felt complicated emotions. Most of them didn't grasp the fact that they had brought about the oppression of an entire race. Looking closely, they saw that these Fish-Men really were like them; the only difference was form, but they seemed to share the same mind and consciousness that distinguishes humans from other living beings.

Many human readers wondered: what if the Fish-Men numbered in the billions around the world and humans were the minority? Wouldn't the situation be reversed? What would they feel then?

Exactly what the Fish-Men feel now.

At that moment, billions of humans around the world were enlightened. All of them, without exception, became familiar with the Fish-Men. Even if most had never seen a Fish-Man in real life, it wouldn't make any difference when that happened; regardless of first impressions due to differences in race, most readers would treat them as fellow humans.

This was what Rob had promised Otohime earlier… The real barrier preventing coexistence between Fish-Men and humans had been weakened to almost zero.

And the reason was the One Piece manga.

Even the Celestial Dragons at that moment felt anger toward Donquixote Mjosgard, who was pointing his weapon at the Fish-Men crowd.

"This… me!?! My god!!"

Saint Mjosgard of the Donquixote family widened his eyes as he saw his blood-soaked counterpart in the manga. He couldn't believe that, out of all the Celestial Dragons, he would be the one to get the chance to appear in the manga.

His heart began to race as he shut his eyes over the manga page under his father's envious gaze.

Chapter's Events:

"A Tenryuubito ship?!"

"It looks like it was attacked by deep-sea creatures…!!" The Celestial Dragon's ship had fallen near a populated town, so many people stepped out of their homes just to witness something incredible: a Celestial Dragon's ship!

"…Why are there Tenryuubito here in the depths…?!" That was the question on everyone's mind at that moment.

"Hurry it up already!!!" They quickly began to run for it.

"Blast it all…!!! Those worthless fools, dying one after another…!!! pant" A Celestial Dragon crawled from the wreckage, clutching a pistol and cursing his subordinates—who had died to protect him in the first place.

"You there!!! Fish!!! Bring me my mask at once!!!" He pointed his pistol at nearby people who hadn't run and threatened them.

"..." They were speechless.

"The stench of fish in this place is simply unbearable!!!"

"Hurry up and bring me my mask!! Save my life, do you hear me?!"

(World Noble (Celestial Dragon) — Saint Mjosgard)

"....."

"Bring a doctor!! pant… pant…"

"A doctor, you hear!! pant… pant…" He also demanded that a doctor be summoned immediately.

"I am dying!! I require treatment!!!" he exclaimed.

"Where are the medical team…?!" an army soldier asked another soldier beside him.

"They're here with us, but… I don't think anyone knows quite how to handle that…" the other answered.

"We should kill him."

"That lowest of the world's trash…" At this stage, Hody Jones was part of the kingdom's army, but deep down, he truly wanted to kill this Celestial Dragon.

— — — — — — — — — — — —

"Hah! You want to kill me! Damn you, Hody Jones!!! So villainous even as a youth!"

Saint Mjosgard's eyes reddened with anger at that moment. The last scene he had read was Hody Jones's desire to kill his counterpart, who was calling for a doctor.

"He needs a doctor! Can't you see he's dying?! Quickly! Summon—ugh—a doctor, damn you!"

Saint Mjosgard's heart bled just like his counterpart's at that moment.

He, a noble Celestial Dragon, had never expected he would one day see himself in such a state, drenched in blood and on the verge of death, even if only in the manga!

The sight of his miserable counterpart drew sympathetic glances from the surrounding Celestial Dragons, who, moments earlier, had been staring at him with anger and envy.

A noble Celestial Dragon soaked in blood—now that was truly a rare sight…

Well, they had seen something similar in the Sabaody Archipelago arc when Luffy punched Saint Charlos, but that dreadful act had brought calamity down upon Luffy. Many Celestial Dragons who hadn't been brainwashed felt refreshed watching it.

But this time, the reason for the bleeding of this noble blood appeared to be a deep-sea creature. Should an admiral be dispatched for him as well?!

"That bastard Hody Jones! I want to see Luffy thrash him!" Saint Mjosgard shouted.

"There's no need to worry, my son. They wouldn't dare harm a single hair on your head," commented his father beside him, Saint Shivercalero.

Saint Shivercalero was clearly uglier than his son in appearance. He, too, felt jealous that his son had appeared in the manga before him, but he believed that since his son had shown up, it was only a matter of time before he appeared as well.

He didn't wait long before his own eyes widened too…

"Wooooonderful! That's me! That's me! Your father appeared too!!" Saint Shivercalero burst with joy next to his son, ignoring everything else as he plunged his eyes into the manga page showing his first official appearance in his son's memory.

"Hm. It seems my dear son was unwilling to leave those Fish-Man slaves who received immunity thanks to Jimbei's Shichibukai status, so he wanted to go to Fish-Man Island to reclaim them."

To him, that was a logical and acceptable reason. Even his son beside him snorted in anger—it was his counterpart's right to reclaim his precious slaves!

But to ordinary readers, especially the Fish-Men among them, that reason was utterly intolerable.

They even thanked Mother Nature—the sea—for her cruelty toward the accursed Celestial Dragon… His serious injuries weren't enough; he ought to die!

That's exactly what they expressed right afterward. The appearance of Saint Mjosgard and his father in the manga made them famous overnight—not only in Mary Geoise, but across the entire world.

Of course, anyone could see that Saint Mjosgard's fame was entirely negative, as thousands of posts were published within seconds about the vileness and ugliness of the Celestial Dragons, with Saint Mjosgard as the closest example.

"For him to risk his life and dive toward Fish-Man Island to reclaim Fish-Man slaves… those poor souls' luck must be terrible. This Celestial Dragon is really stubborn."

"This is why my counterpart never wanted promotion to admiral—just imagine being ordered around by this butt-face, and refusing is never an option!"

Garp's viral post ignited a heated debate across the forum, and the manga was ignored by many for a few minutes before things returned to normal.

Well, everyone felt Garp was right.
