"Speak clearly," Mu Yongxian articulated each word to his subordinate.
Dr. Han was so frightened he almost cried. Had he known earlier that the report over the phone wasn't as severe as it sounded, he wouldn't have rushed to notify his superior, ending up in such a mess.
"They previously said the heart had stopped and chest compressions were needed," Dr. Han said.
A child's heart stopping is one of the most critical situations and does indeed warrant notifying the attending physician.
"When I arrived, I found out it hadn't stopped; everything's fine," Dr. Han said, looking at the child's stable ECG, unsure if he or the PICU staff had seen ghosts.
How could there be such a miracle? A patient's heart stops and suddenly starts again on its own? If such patients exist, why would doctors be needed?
Dr. Han really couldn't explain this clearly to his superior.
The subordinate had given a confused report over the phone.
