[Torva's POV]
The forge.
I've grown so attached to it that I struggle to go a day without it. My very soul burns with excitement whenever I make something worthy of praise from my companions. Especially when I'm acknowledged personally by him. My creator, my lord, my Praetor, and now, my King.
My very being was created to serve him. He made me so that I could compete with, and eventually surpass, the person named Grid.
My current appearance is the final form my King was originally seeking. I have long golden hair tied up in a ponytail. I'm around 5'6", so I'm much shorter than him, but that's not a bad thing. I have a nice figure, too. My female companions told me it was good to have a nice figure and to stand proud because of it. I have red eyes, and I prefer to wear a red dress or a battle suit whenever I'm not in the smithy.
There is a lot I don't like about Grid.
One of the many things: he doesn't even know how amazing his class truly is. He didn't have to start from the bottom. He was handed a legendary class on a silver platter! Honestly, if he weren't so stupid, and focused more on blacksmithing than on his own greed, the money would come on its own.
I can't hate Grid, though. He does put in a great deal of hard work, even if it's misguided.
I will surpass him someday. I don't need to sleep, so I can keep forging items and training with the sword under my teacher, Fenrir.
Speaking of Fenrir, he is extremely skilled with the sword. I feel like he's constantly improving. He doesn't even watch Sir Piaro like the other swordsmen do. He just follows his own swordsmanship instead.
Today, I'm making a special type of weapon that Shade secured a production method for. She always finds the strangest weapons, but at least this one seems rather deadly.
Shade has long crimson hair, an athletic figure, tanned skin and blood-red eyes. If I were one of the 'newbie' golems, as my King calls them, I'd be deeply afraid of her from her looks alone.
However, I was the first golem my King created, so nothing fazes me at this point.
The production method she brought me had interesting properties. Frankly, if I didn't know I 'could' produce legendary weapons, I would have been very surprised.

The weapon was a scythe. It reminded me of a form of entertainment Master told me stories about. What was it called? Anime? Maybe. He described a red weapon very similar to this one, except this scythe was supposed to be silver.
I learned the production method, and Shade looked at me with excited eyes. I focus on her eyes specifically, because she can't express her emotions well any other way. She has a perpetual poker face.
I went to my personal smithy with her to forge the scythe.
The handle was to be made from the fur of silverback wolves. Their fur has properties similar to silver and bloodstone, but is far more flexible. The curved blade called for black iron and mithril. I replaced the black iron with bloodstone, to see if I could draw something more out of the weapon.
Then I got to work. Shade couldn't stay long, so she left to hunt with the group she leads. This project was going to take all my attention and probably a while anyway.
After a few days, I was putting the finishing touches on the scythe when I felt something through my connection with Master.
Strong emotions. The strongest of them was sadness.
I stopped what I was doing, grabbed the scythe, handed it to Shade when I passed her in the hall, and ran to him.

I didn't care about the notification at all. My priority was getting to Master.
I wasn't alone. Every one of my golem companions came to his personal crafting room.
When I got there, I saw him crying over a golem. It was the first time I had ever seen him show emotion that powerful. I wanted to go over and comfort him. I thought he was sad because he'd failed to make a golem after pouring days into it.
I was naive to think so, given what I heard, saw and felt next.
"PAPA!"
In that moment, I felt what a legend was, firsthand.
Later that night, Shade found me in the smithy. She didn't say anything. She just held out the scythe so I could read it.

The scythe had been in my hands at the moment the Princess was born. Whatever I felt then had gone into it.
Shade looked at the scythe, then at me. Her face didn't move. Her eyes said thank you so loudly I had to look away.
