Ryley blinked. "It is not exactly… subtle," then he frowned. "... It's just simple."
"It is elegantly simple," Mitchell corrected. "Which somehow makes it worse."
Rosie suddenly hurried back toward them, nearly bumping into Ryley.
"Madre! I found it!" she announced excitedly, holding up a glowing globe encased in glass. The tiny lights inside shimmered like stars.
"Morgan will like this!"
"Really?" Ryley — sunglasses still firmly on, scarf pulled high over his nose — took the glowing globe from Rosie's hands.
The soft light reflected faintly against the dark lenses as he tilted it, examining the tiny floating constellations inside.
"Why do you think he'll like this?" he asked gently.
