"Of course he still loves you," Vincent said at once. His hands rested on the boy's arms, a little firmer than usual. "He loves you the most, Young Master."
Morgan's lower lip trembled. His tiny fists clenched at his sides.
"Then… why is Mom always crying at night?" he asked quietly. "Why doesn't Dad care about us?" His voice wavered. "Mom said Dad doesn't love me any—"
"No." Vincent cut in gently but quickly. "No, that's not true."
Morgan looked up, eyes glossy.
"Listen to me," Vincent said, steadying his tone. "No matter what you hear, you must never say those words in front of the Sovereign, alright? It would hurt him. He never wanted to hurt you. Or your mother."
He paused, choosing his words carefully.
"He's just… very busy lately."
Vincent pointed toward the large screen displaying the expansion project — the new world they were building.
