Not long after, Oliver appeared, his steps measured and respectful.
"Good morning, and welcome back, sir," he greeted, bowing deeply. "Congratulations on your marriage to the Sovereign."
Ryley returned the bow with a gentle smile. "Thank you, Oliver. How have you been?" His gaze softened. "I hope your new job hasn't been too difficult for you."
Oliver shook his head slowly. "No, sir," he answered. Still, a faint tension lingered between his brows—subtle, but unmistakable. Ryley caught it at once.
"You look troubled," Ryley said quietly. "Is there something important you need to tell me?"
Oliver hesitated. His fingers tightened briefly at his side before he stepped closer.
Without another word, he took out his phone, tapped the screen, and played a recording. He then offered it to Ryley with both hands.
Ryley frowned slightly as he accepted it, lifting the phone closer to his ear.
