The villa's main hall had transformed since morning. Warm golden lights had been strung across the wooden rafters, deep crimson table runners flowing over a massive dining table that could comfortably host diplomatic negotiations. A modest Christmas tree stood near the wide glass windows, its ornaments shimmering softly under the glow.
Staff moved quietly but efficiently, adjusting decorations, refilling floral arrangements, and setting silverware with almost military precision.
Meanwhile, the Inner Nine were… chaos.
