"Promise me that no matter how many friends you make, you will always be with me, ALWAYS," Aashida said, and it wasn't a joke. She was dead serious about this.
"Yes, I promise, I will always be there," I reassured her
We said bye and requested her to unblock me.
The next day
A number I never saw before messaged.
Unknown number:- Hey, it's me
Me:- Umm hi, not to be rude or anything but saying it's me doesn't really give a good idea on who you are. So mind explaining that?"
Unknown number:- "Oh sorry, Pakoroshi, The name's Pakoroshi"
Me:-" Oh ya, you're the new girl in the street, IK u have not been long but how is everything here?"
Pakoroshi:-" It's good tbh the fact that Sadayami has moved out here with me there is no big difference yet, the good thing is that I'm about to be friends with u and Aashida."
Me:- "Sure, also come down to play with us at 5:30, also how did u get my number?"
Pakoroshi:-"Sadayami."
Me:- "Oh ya…, should I have figured that out. Anyway at Aashida's backyard 5:30, see u then."
Later that evening
I was already at Aashida's backyard 10 min early. I was in the hall of her house waiting for her to get ready.
"Ok I am ready, move out. I am bringing the bat, u got the ball right?" Aashida said coming down the stairs of her house
"Ya,also Pakoroshi and Sadayami should be here in about 17 minute-." I was about to say
"Oh good, finally some more people who might not be as dumb as you." She was teasing me
"If you really hated me, why did you ask me to promise? I asked
"STOP ASKING ME QUESTIONS THAT I DON'T LIKE TO ANSWER" she yelled
"STOP SAYING THINGS YOU DON'T MEAN" I yelled with as much force to show my anger.
"What happened, why are you two fighting again?" Aashida's mom asked from a bit of a distance.
"Nothing aunty, sorry, we are just doing the usual," I replied trying to sound polite
"Your 2 will never change," Aunty said with not a bothered tone.
Aashida walked angrily out of the house. We waited outside and set up the stumps, and just had a few trial rounds. Not long after Pakoroshi and Sadayami arrived.
"Sup guys," I asked "So we are playing cricket today. And yes Pakoroshi this is Aashida"
"Hi Aashida, how are you doing? " Pakoroshi asked, bringing a hand forward to the handshake.
"Hi, I am good" They proceeded to go for a very formal handshake for whatever reason. I didn't mind a lot though.
"So guys, we got a bat, we got a ball, and we got an even number of players. Everyone down for cricket? Boys vs girls if you will?" I asked.
Sadayami immediately accepted, followed by Pakoroshi, Aashida hesitated but accepted.
We had a very close match. Aashida's team won by just 1 round. The match was long so Sadayami headed home. Pakoroshi stayed and just talked with me. We discussed interests a bit about our other friends and so on. At the moment I partially even forgot Aashida was just sitting there with no sort of conversation.
"You guys done?" a nonpleasing tone said
"Oh sorry, we just got into the conversation a bit deeply. Anyway, I think I will head home now.Bye y'all" Pakoroshi said
"Bye," Aashida said as soon as she left Aashida said, "Don't have a good feeling, I don't have a good feeling on this."
"What why?" I was a bit confused, granted we forgot about Aashida but maybe it is a bit early to judge that.
"Noticing things her friendship goes well with the other gender, unlike the majority, but like you." She said
"I mean I guess, what's so wrong about it. Let her be friends with me" I said, I knew where Aashida was headed this but I wanted to hear her say it
"See the thing is sooner or later she will try to get you to be really good friends with her, and overshadow me" Aashida said and she was paranoid about this
"I promised you right? Don't worry, I will be with you." I tried to calm her
After trying to low her paranoia which she is trying to hide. I went home. Everything went nearly as usual. That is almost. I tucked myself in the bed
"Tanyoka, I have been waiting for this long, wake up. WAKE UP RIGHT NOW I DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS." A voice. A voice which seemed like mine but somewhat older said.
I open my eyes. I am in a room not lying on a bed or so. It is just a room with no furniture, no anything, just a white room with moderate cold temperature. A man well dressed in a black suit white shirt with a red tie and brown leather shoes, with the same complexion as me, but silver hair stood before me.
"Who are you?" I asked because this man is everything I could ever dream of becoming and hoped for
He smiled ever so slightly but still prominently and with a steady voice said "You"
