These are the powers a God Slayer gains after killing a god.
...
..
.
In the underground chamber;
Looking once again at his [Status] all his authority he gained total of 13 authorities by three gods.
All his authorities only his Amaterasu's and Tet's he managed to use freely in his training except some.
Typhon's Authorities.
[Shape Shifter of Madness] and [Beast Disaster].
[Shape Shifter of Madness] did try once to practice this authorities didn't activate at his will due to the effect and restriction.
He supposed to filled of negative emotion — grief, rage, despair, or hatred — the sealed power of Typhon's madness awakens.
More like he was supposed to be hulk.
Though he tried to remember some of his past lives...
Instead of anger coming out its were nostalgic of his life.
The other one is [Beast of Disaster].
It's a Summon Authority that can call six divine beast of Typhon's offspring.
He didn't attempt to summon one in the Italy due to focusing training about magic/charm he learned from Lucretia and Alice
Another reason was the warning and condition attached to it
He needed to tame them first before he will able to use them.
So there is possibility that they will attack him or any their sight on them the moment they summon.
However, imagining all six divine beast summoning under his command.
'Hehehe'
Before he want to tame is to know their actual capabilities.
A small smile appeared on his face.
"...Let's see how wild these beasts really are."
He then turned toward the two gods behind him.
"Amaterasu. Tet."
The two looked at him.
"Yes, Master?"
"Hm?"
Asahi's expression became serious.
"Stay back for a while."
"I want to do this alone."
Tet blinked.
"...You're sure?"
Asahi nodded.
"If these beasts are truly Typhon's offspring, then the moment they're summoned, they'll probably attack you two on sight. I also want to experience their strength firsthand."
Amaterasu studied him quietly before giving a gentle nod.
"...Understood."
"If that is your decision, I shall not interfere."
Tet scratched the back of his head before grinning.
"Hehe... alright."
"But if things get too dangerous, we're stepping in."
Asahi chuckled.
"I'll be counting on you if that happens."
The two retreated return back inside of Asahi.
He slowly exhaled.
"...Now then."
He bit his right thumb, letting some drops of blood fall onto the stone floor.
A dark magic circle slowly spread beneath his feet.
"{O Vicious Beast of Chaos, who always seek of blood and Flesh..,Come before me. Its time to bring their terror!} "
As he finish his incantation the dark magic circle begun to wide and violet flames suddenly appeared from the circle rounding up.
Asahi looking at the massive flames rounding at the magic circle and sound of chain and growl of the beast could be heard.
*Cling* *ROOAR!*
A massive fifteen-meter-tall creature with black-gray fur two-headed, serpent-tailed dog begun to materialize above in the magic circle.
[Orthus]
After materializing 2 headed beast, Orthus opened his red eyes and look around until he felt a presence looking down saw someone little man infront of him.
Asahi looked up at him, meeting his eyes. For a moment, he could only stare, stars practically shining in his eyes. "So big!"
*Grrrr!2x* *Siiiii!*
Orthus look at Asahi then both two head dog suddenly spat out a red flame direction at Asahi.
Woah!
Asahi quickly jump out to distance from the Orthus's flames
"Woah! What a way greeting, Don't you think?"
And then—
He released it.
A thin ripple of pressure rolled out from him—no more than a leaking aura of his Haki.
But to Orthrus, it was like the sky itself had fallen.
Both heads jerked back and his snake tail felt terrified pupils shrinking.
Its legs trembled.
Its instincts screamed—
Flee.
Submit.
Crawl.
But Orthrus was the child of Typhon.
A beast born to be disaster.
Flashing all the memories of all treatment of the gods to him.
It refused.
*GROWL*"Grrrrrr… ROOOOAR!!!"
The ground cracked beneath Orthrus' paws as it let out a thunderous roar.
Asahi grinned in funny way at the two headed beast waving at him inwardly saying 'Come here, come to papa!'
Orthus felt provoked suddenly charge at him
Asahi shifted his foot half a step—barely a movement—and Orthrus' massive claws tore through empty air.
The serpent tail struck next, venom glimmering at its fangs.
Asahi slightly jump into side.
Whiff—
The snake head missed and smashed into the earth instead, shattering rock.
Orthus attacked again and again—wild, feral, relentless.
Black claws, snapping jaws, sweeping tail, scorching heat.
And Asahi?
He dodged with casual, lazy motions, provoking the beast further.
"Come on, puppy. You were louder earlier."
Both heads snarled and inhaled sharply—flames building in their throats.
Asahi's eyes narrowed.
The color shifted.
From crimson flame…to black…
'Watch out, master!"
Amaterasu's voice echoed inside his head like ringing steel:
*FWOOOOM!!!*
The beast unleashed the full wave of black fire—
A wave that swallowed the entire battlefield.
All the trees and grass were burned to ashes
Orthus' heads panted, satisfied, watching everything burn.
Asahi in the distance of the flames area managed avoided the AOE attack of Orthus.
Looking at the damage by the black flames couldn't help but feel a little surprised.
"What was that?" Asahi ask Amaterasu who warn him earlier.
"That was hell fire... A fire does not extinguish so long still remains. Ordinary method wouldn't work on that.."
"I see, that make sense..." Asahi just remember into the description of Orthus as he breath fire that doesn't extinguish and felt impress at the two headed as does have trump card.
"How about this.," A new idea suddenly occurred to Asahi.
He came to his side of Orthus provoke him again.
Then Orthus spew out black flames again.
The flame swallowed the entire side of Orthus along with Asahi.
Orthus' heads panted, satisfied, watching everything burn to ashes
Until a shape walked out of the inferno.
Asahi's entire body was pitch black with aura—charred?—no…
The black slid off him like dust.
No burns.
No smoke.
Not a single scratch.
"…That's all? Looks like my magic resistance is stronger than I expected." he said, brushing a faint ember off his shoulder.
Orthus eyes widened.
Then Asahi vanished.
SHUP—
A blur at Orthrus' left head appeared.
Its instincts screamed.
"Grr—!?"
"My turn. [For all who opposed me, feel my wrath, I am here for Vengeance.]" He begun release another [Authority].
When Amaterasu was teaching Asahi her [Authorities] there was something he realized.
Authority is extremely flexible when used.
As Campione can use their power in many different ways of their imagination as long as it fits the initial concept.
Amaterasu's authority the [Sun] was able to use different aspect of the sun.
How about the other authority as well?
[Calamity of Extinction]?
An authority could summon/create/Control all-disasters.
What if instead summon outside the area how about put in it to his part of body.
Asahi's fist grip tightly wrapped in translucent dark blue bubbles, infusing by Haki that rippled like a living storm.
[Calamity of Extinction: Earthquake]
The beast tried to spat [Hell Fire] —but it was too slow..
"Grit your teeth, puppy. This might be sting." Asahi warned with a sharp grin.
*CREAK!--*CRACK—*BOOOOOOM!!!*
His fist slammed into Orthrus' head the moment he release [Earthquack] the air was shattered like broken glass appeared like punch in the mirror with shockwave force.
The massive two-headed hound flew—flew—like a meteor, crashing through soil, rock, and distant hills.
A shockwave rippled outward, carving a trench across the underground chamber.
...
Silence.
WHA-?!
Asahi was surprise and lowered his arm, The [Authority] begun fading from his hand.
He trying his best to hold back as possible.
However...He hadn't expected it to cause this much damage.
From the distant cloud of smoke, Orthus staggered back up—bloody, dizzy, his left head still unconcious his nose was getting nosebleed but other side still slight conscious looking at Asahi burning with defiance.
Walking infront of the infront of them, "HOh! What a resilience eyes you got, despite being guard dog on your myth, you still have instinct being beast. That's what beast are, " Asahi said nodded with a satisfied smile looking at the half dead big dog glaring back at him while growling at him
*GRRR*
"Good. I know you will not submit from this. " ' {O Sacred flames of the heaven, Blaze forth!}'Asahi begun to silent chant and his hand generate big golden red flames and throw at Orthus.
Orthus right head couldn't move only closing his eyes accepting he was going back to his myth as he was surrounding of flames instead feeling burning he felt refreshing overflowing energy and all his wound begun to heal.
Orthus left head begun to wake up and right head felt confuse looking at his body were heal an instant additional he felt powerful than before.
"I'm not evil, you know." Asahi shrugged. "If I wanted to kill you, you'd be gone. I want to tame you."
His gaze shifted to the collar around Orthus' neck.
"How long are you going to bow to those gods who treated you as pawn of their entertainment?" Orthus cause flidging for a second as he understand the word of Asahi saying.
Where is your pride?
Your wild instinct
Your fang
Where is the beast who fear them all mortal.
The two headed were flitch as he understand Asahi question.
Not a guard dog.
Not a chained pet.
Not as loyal dog
Not as pet of the gods/giant.
Your nature as a beast of disaster.
Orthus look at Asahi who was excitedly unconsciously releasing his aura causing more pressure on him.
His fist wrapped in translucent dark blue bubbles again.
A shiver ran across Orthus' spine.
For the first time… Orthus quickly went on guard went high as begun to realised this mortal is not ordinary prey..
His aura and scent was similar to his father.
Natural enemy of the god
This mortal asking me show his fang.
For the first time…
Someone wasn't treating him as a guard, a tool, a watchdog—
He was showing beast worthy of honor.
One of his heads growled, not in anger, but in awakening.
The other bared its teeth, flames cracking like embers.
His serpent tail hissed sharply, aura swirling around it.
Orthus stomped the ground— craters exploding beneath his paws.
Black hellfire ignited around his mouths, stronger than before.
His eyes no longer showed fear.
They showed challenge.
Defiance.
Pride.
Orthus (left head, low growl):
"Grrrr…!"
Orthus (right head, snarling):
"ROOOOOAR!!!" x2
He was no longer fighting to survive.
But as a beast reclaiming its nature.
He was fighting to prove himself.
" Hoh… now that's the look I've been waiting for. Show me your fang more, Orthus!" Asahi excitedly said his true name this battle was far from over.
He planted his foot forward—and the air cracked around him.
A thin ripple of Haki danced around his fist like lightning.
His aura alone causing made tornado of the surrouding
Orthus charged.
Faster.
Sharper.
Wilder.
Not like a beast following orders.
Like a disaster unleashed.
He leaped—both heads spewing black flames that spiraled like two hellish dragons.
Asahi didn't dodge.
He met the flames head-on, pushing his hand through them.
The flames parted around his arm, unable to burn him.
"Good! Don't you dare hold back!"
His fist swung—
THOOM!
Orthus blocked with both heads, the impact shaking the entire chamber.
He slid backwards, claws carving trenches in the ground.
But he didn't fall.
He roared again and lunged.
Bite.
Claw.
Tail strike.
Hellfire blast.
A flurry of savage instinct sharpened by pride.
Asahi laughed. "Yes! More! Show me everything you hid behind those chains!"
------
Inside of Mindscape:
"Eeeh?! He actually awakened Orthus' pride? Looks like he was not fighting like a dog anymore—he's fighting like a beast" Tet inside watching their fight.
Amaterasu folded her arms, smiling softly. "Admirable, this is Master way…He does not tame by force. He challenges, nurtures, and showing his way."
Tet giggled. "He's taming him by making him better! That's so him!"
Amaterasu nodded in agreement.
"A beast that submits from fear is weak. A beast that submits after giving its all—That is worthy being pet on my lord"
Tet leaned forward, grinning at Amaterasu. "Your lord, hah,"
Amaterasu heard teasing tone at Tet she avoid her eyes contact quite flushing her faces
Orthus' hellfire erupted black begun to spread around his fur body
His killing aura swelled—more powerful than at the start.
Asahi met his charge head-on.
Shockwaves shredded the stone walls.
Black flames begun to spreading the area fighting pressure from Asahi's aura.
The clash was causing the surrounding melting rocks and crack in the grounds
Mythical.
Beautiful.
And as final struggle of Orthus.
Asahi caught both heads by their muzzles mid-lunge.
He stopped Orthus' full force with one hand each.
Their eyes met.
Asahi's voice softened.
"You've shown me enough."
Both heads trembled.
Not from fear.
From exhaustion.
From effort.
From pride.
Slowly…
The massive hound sank to its knees.
Not collapsing—
Bowing.
Both heads lowered, touching the ground.
The serpent tail curled respectfully behind him.
His hellfire faded into gentle embers.
He had given his all.
He had shown his fang.
He had proven his pride.
And thus—
He chose his master.
----
DING!
A glowing projectile message slammed into Asahi's forehead like a rubber bullet.
A floating notification appeared in front of his eyes:
[You have successfully tamed The two headed hound, Orthus.]
"…What? Whoa—!" Asahi blinked as black flames suddenly flared across his body.
"So this is the black flames..."
They spun around him like they were greeting him, then faded just as fast.
Asahi exhaled. "Right… so that's one down."
A Chibi Tet floated down beside him, grinning. "You did it, Asahi! Its one down five more to go!"
A Chibi Amaterasu nodded. "The others won't be as easy. Orthus was the weakest."
Orthus looking at the two Goddess let out a "GRRR—!"Both heads glared at them as if offended.
Asahi patted both muzzles. "HAhaha. Sorry, Orthus. You did great. You can turn back now."
Orthus closed his eyes.
His huge body dissolved into soft light, drifting upward until nothing remained.
"Now, then. Shall we summon once more."

{Amaerasu Pov:}
"...And that was the end."
The screen slowly faded to black.
Soft music accompanied the ending credits as the final episode came to a close.
"..."
Silence filled the Cinema Collection Room.
For a long moment...
Neither Tet nor I spoke.
"...It was beautiful."
The words escaped my lips before I realized it.
Tet stretched her arms above her head before grinning.
"Hehe."
"I knew you'd like it."
"..."
My gaze remained fixed upon the now-dark screen.
The drama had told the story of an ordinary kitchen maid who, through unwavering determination, compassion, and exceptional skill, eventually became the King's trusted royal physician.
She endured countless hardships.
Betrayal.
Jealousy.
Political schemes.
Yet...
She never abandoned her kindness.
"...Humans truly possess remarkable resilience."
I quietly murmured.
Tet nodded.
"Yep."
"'Jewel in the Palace' is one of Asahi's favorites kdrama."
"He says it isn't just about romance."
"It's about perseverance."
"...Indeed."
"I found Lady Jang Geum... admirable."
Despite possessing no divine authority...
No supernatural power...
She continued moving forward through nothing but her own resolve.
"..."
How curious.
When I first began watching these dramas...
Master said this series is base on real historical figure.
I was surprise hearing that which give me curious what kind of tales did she create.
The emotions they conveyed...
The hopes they inspired...
The lessons they carried...
All felt undeniably real.
Without realizing it...
I had become rather fond of what humans called...
"K-Dramas."
Tet giggled upon noticing my expression.
"Hehe."
"So..."
"Ready for another one?"
"..."
I hesitated.
"...Perhaps..."
"...Just one more."
"Hehehe!"
"I knew you'd say that!"
Tet reached toward another case on the shelf.
Just then—
A familiar voice suddenly echoed directly within our minds.
'Ama-chan. Tet. Could you both come to the living room for a moment?'
"..."
I blinked.
"...Master?"
Tet lowered the drama case.
"Oh?"
"Asahi?"
His voice continued through our telepathic connection.
'Just come downstairs. I have something I'd like to show you.'
The connection ended.
Tet tilted her head.
"...That's weird."
"I didn't even hear him come home."
"...Neither did I."
Had Master returned without us noticing?
That was... unusual.
Tet shrugged before hopping off the sofa.
"Well..."
"Let's see what he's up to."
I silently nodded.
"...Very well."
Together...
We left the Cinema Collection Room.
Descending the stairs, we followed the familiar hallway toward the living room.
As we approached...
I noticed something strange.
The lights beyond the doorway had been turned off.
"..."
"...Master?"
No reply came.
Tet cautiously stepped closer.
"...This is suspicious."
"...Indeed."
She slowly reached for the doorknob.
"...Ready?"
I gave a small nod.
"...Yes."
The door quietly opened.
*Click!*
The room was suddenly flooded with warm light.
"SURPRISE!!"
"...!"
My body instinctively froze.
The once quiet living room had completely transformed.
Colorful streamers stretched across the ceiling.
Paper flowers decorated the walls.
Balloons floated near the windows.
At the center of the room hung a large white banner.
In bold red letters, it read—
WELCOME TO OUR NEIGHBOORHOOD!!!
or a brief moment...
I could only stare.
"..."
Then I noticed them.
Master stood at the center of the room, smiling brightly.
"Hehe..."
"Welcome Home, Ammy-san"
[A/n: Ammy is for the nickname for Amaterasu gave by Tet]
Beside him stood Ichirou Kusanagi with his usual gentle smile.
And the friend of my master, Shizuka, Godou and Asuka energetically waved both hands.
"Surprise! Sensei, hehe"
Shizuka hapilly stepped forward before offering a small bouquet of flowers.
"...Welcome to Japan, Ammy-san."
The Tokunaga family emerged from the dining area carrying trays filled with freshly prepared sushi, tempura, grilled fish, and countless homemade dishes.
Mrs. Tokunaga smiled warmly.
"We heard you've been helping Asahi and Tet ever since you arrived, So Asahi want some welcome party for you."
"So everyone wanted to welcome you properly."
Around them...
Many of the neighbors I had greeted alongside of Master during our morning walk smiled kindly.
Some were elderly.
Others were young families.
Even several children waved excitedly.
No one looked fearful.
No one bowed in worship.
Instead...
They simply smiled.
"..."
For a moment...
I found myself unable to understand.
"...For... me?"
Master scratched his cheek sheepishly.
"Well...You came all the way from Italy(after the battle). So...I just realize, I never actually welcomed you properly in japan. So Tet and I plan for this. "
I slowly turned toward Tet.
She was desperately covering her mouth with both hands.
Her shoulders trembled.
Unable to hold it any longer, Tet burst into laughter.
"Sorry!"
"I've been trying not to laugh all day!"
"So that's why you wanted to watch dramas with me..."
Tet grinned sheepishly.
"Hehe..."
"If I stayed here all day..."
"I couldn't accidentally spoil the surprise."
"..."
So...
That was the reason.
Even the countless episodes we had watched together...
Had been part of Master's plan.
I quietly looked around the room once more.
Everyone...
Had gathered here.
Simply...
To welcome me.
Master clapped his hands together.
"Alright! Everyone! Now that Ammy-chan is here...Let The celebration officially begins!"
"OHHH!"
A loud chorus immediately followed.
"Yeah!!"
Almost instantly—
Tet and Godou went to living room held console.
"I will not lose like the last time. I will win for sure!" Godou challenge Tet to play street fighter.
"Bring it on!" Tet happily accept the challenge.
Godou and Tet begin to focus their fight in the game.
"Hayyss. They are so childish. Shizuka-chan, lets go get some food for them too." Asuka looking at the two just went kitchen get the food for two.
"Yes, Asuka-chan." Shizuka went along with her and talk about girl stuff.
The room burst into laughter once again.
Soon...
The celebration truly began.
Neighbors raised their glasses.
"Cheers!"
"Welcome to the neighborhood!"
"Welcome home to our beautiful Ammy-chan!"
The adults enjoyed homemade dishes prepared by Master together with the Tokunaga family.
Ichirou and Mr. Tokunaga joined the other adults for drinks.
The children happily ate their food.
Warm conversations filled every corner of the house.
It was...
A peaceful sight.
"...Ammy-san."
A gentle voice called out to me.
Turning around, I found Chiyo Kusanagi carrying a small plate.
On it rested several pieces of freshly made sushi, golden tempura, and a serving of Master's homemade curry.
She smiled warmly.
"You've hardly eaten anything."
"Please."
"You should enjoy the food too."
I looked at the plate for a moment.
"...This is for me?"
Chiyo nodded.
"Of course."
"I noticed that you've mostly been given alcohol and raw vegetables whenever people offered you food."
She gave a small, almost apologetic smile.
"I thought you might enjoy something different."
"Something that we actually eat together."
"..."
I accepted the plate with both hands.
Something about those words made me pause.
Something that we actually eat together...
I looked down at the food.
It was so ordinary.
Yet somehow...
It felt different from the offerings I had received for countless ages.
For centuries, humans had presented me with offerings.
Alcohol.
Vegetables.
Rice.
Various foods prepared in my honor.
Those offerings were meant for a goddess.
They were expressions of reverence.
But this...
This was simply a meal.
A meal someone had prepared because they wanted me to enjoy it.
I picked up a piece of sushi with my chopsticks.
"..."
I placed it into my mouth.
The moment I tasted it—
BOOM!
For an instant, it felt as though a brilliant golden light had erupted within my mind.
The freshness of the fish blended perfectly with the seasoned rice.
The subtle sweetness...
The delicate texture...
The balance of flavors...
My eyes widened slightly.
"...!"
I had eaten countless offerings throughout the ages.
Yet this simple dish...
Was surprisingly delicious.
I slowly swallowed.
"...Wonderful."
I then tried the tempura.
The moment my teeth broke through its crisp coating—
CRACK!
Another imaginary burst of light exploded in my mind.
The golden crust shattered delicately, revealing the tender ingredients inside.
The contrast was exquisite.
I stared at the remaining pieces.
How can something so simple be prepared with such care?
Then came the curry.
I took a small spoonful.
The rich aroma reached me first.
Then—
FWOOOOSH!
A warm sensation spread through my entire body.
For an instant, I imagined standing beneath the warm rays of the sun, surrounded by golden fields.
The spices were rich but not overpowering.
The sweetness balanced the savory flavor.
And beneath everything was a warmth that reminded me of something I could not quite describe.
"..."
I slowly lowered my spoon.
This was not merely delicious.
It was...
Comforting.
I looked at the curry again.
"...Master truly is an excellent cook."
Chiyo smiled.
"I told you."
"You've hardly eaten anything tonight."
I quietly continued eating.
One piece.
Then another.
Before I realized it, I had almost finished everything on the plate.
"..."
I paused.
Had I really eaten that much?
Chiyo watched me with a satisfied smile.
"There."
"That's much better."
"...Thank you very much."
For a brief moment...
Neither of us spoke.
The sounds of laughter and conversation continued around us.
Then...
Her expression softened.
"...Ammy-san."
"There is something I've been wanting to say."
I looked toward her.
"...Yes?"
She bowed her head ever so slightly.
"...Thank you."
"...?"
"I've heard from Shizuka-chan."
"You've been teaching her after school."
"You even encouraging her whenever she loses confidence."
She let out a quiet laugh.
"Our granddaughter smiles much more these days."
"She even tells us..."
"'I want to become someone as graceful as Ammy-san.'"
I blinked.
"...Shizuka said that?"
Chiyo nodded.
"..."
My gaze naturally drifted toward the little girl.
Shizuka was currently helping Mrs. Tokunaga arrange plates on the table.
Even while working...
She wore a bright smile.
"I merely taught her what I believed was appropriate. There was nothing special about it."
Chiyo gently shook her head.
"Perhaps not to you. But to a child..."
"A patient teacher can change everything."
She looked at me kindly.
"Thank you..."
"For taking such good care of our precious granddaughter."
"..."
For countless ages...
Humans had thanked me for sunlight.
For harvests.
For blessings bestowed upon their lands.
Yet this...
Was the first time someone had thanked me...
Simply...
For being kind to a child.
A warmth quietly spread through my chest.
I slowly bowed in return.
"...No."
"It is I who should be thanking you."
"...For welcoming someone like me."
Chiyo chuckled softly before gently patting my shoulder.
"There you go again."
"You're part of this neighborhood now, and Asahi's family."
"So there's no need to be so formal."
"..."
"...Very well."
A small smile naturally appeared upon my lips.
"...Then..."
"...Thank you, Chiyo-san."
Her eyes widened for a brief moment.
Then...
She smiled even more warmly.
"You're very welcome, Ammy-san."
For a brief moment, we remained silent.
Then Chiyo looked at me with gentle curiosity.
"Ammy-san..."
"May I ask you something?"
I looked toward her.
"...Yes?"
She smiled.
"How have you been adjusting to life here in Japan?"
"..."
I paused.
The question caught me slightly off guard.
"New life in here.."
I looked around the room.
At the people laughing together.
At the children playing.
At Shizuka helping the adults.
At Master and Tet enjoying themselves.
"...I suppose..."
"I am still quite adjusting.."
Chiyo nodded.
"That's understandable."
"Japan must be very different from what you're accustomed to."
"...Indeed."
I lowered my gaze toward the empty plate in my hands.
"The customs..."
"The people..."
"Even the ordinary rhythm of daily life..."
"Everything is different from what I have known."
Chiyo smiled gently.
"But..."
She paused.
"Are you enjoying it?"
"..."
I looked at her.
Then...
My gaze slowly wandered around the room again.
The laughter.
The warmth.
The people who had gathered here simply to welcome me.
"...Yes."
A small smile appeared on my face.
"...I believe I am."
Chiyo's smile widened.
"I'm glad."
She gently patted my shoulder once more.
"Then take your time."
"You'll get used to everything."
"...Thank you, Chiyo-san."
"You've already done enough."
She smiled.
"Just being here with us is enough."
"..."
Her words lingered quietly within my heart.
Several of the neighborhood ladies gradually gathered around me.
Mrs. Tokunaga smiled mischievously.
"My, my..."
"Now that I look at you closely..."
"You're truly a beautiful young lady."
Another housewife nodded enthusiastically.
"I was thinking the exact same thing!"
"Your skin is absolutely flawless."
"And your hair..."
"It shines like silk."
A third woman leaned in with sparkling eyes.
"Ammy-san..."
"Ammy..."
..
..
Everyone starting to ask me one by one..
Which i didn't expect to love this called neighborhood
Time passed far more quickly than I had expected.
Laughter continued to fill the house.
Children chased one another around the living room.
The adults exchanged stories over homemade dishes and drinks.
Even I found myself speaking with the neighbors from time to time.
Before I realized it...
Several hours had already passed.
When I glanced at the clock hanging on the wall...
It quietly read—
11:00 A.M.
"..."
So late already.
Ichirou slowly stood, stretching his back with a small groan.
"Haha..."
"I suppose it's time for us to head home."
The others nodded in agreement.
Mrs. Tokunaga clasped her hands together and Mr Tokunaga held sleeping Asuka to his arm.
"It was a wonderful evening."
"We should do this again sometime."
Master smiled brightly.
"Definitely."
One by one...
Everyone began gathering their belongings.
"Come on, Godou."
"We're going home."
"...Aww."
Godou reluctantly stood up.
"But I wanted to play one more game with Tet."
Tet folded her arms proudly.
"Hehe."
"You lost five times already."
"I was warming up!"
"You said that after the fourth game too."
"T-That doesn't count!"
Shizuka couldn't help but laugh.
"Onii-chan, you two can continue another day."
Godou puffed out his cheeks.
"...Fine."
Next to them, Shizuka carefully approached me.
She bowed politely.
"...Good night, Sensei."
"Thank you for today."
I gently smiled.
"...Good night, Shizuka."
"Sleep well."
The little girl nodded happily before running back to her grandparents.
Chiyo looked toward me with her usual gentle smile.
"Thank you again, Ammy-san."
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself."
"...The pleasure was mine."
She softly patted my shoulder.
"I'm happy to hear that and Please take care our Asahi-kun. You can count on us if there is something you need."
I nodded, "Yes, Thank you very much."
One after another...
The neighbors offered their farewells.
"Good night!"
"See you tomorrow!"
"Take care, Ammy-san!"
"...Good night."
I bowed to each of them in return.
Before long...
The once lively living room gradually became quiet once again.
The front door gently closed behind the final guest.
Click.
Silence.
...
Only three people remained.
Master.
Tet.
And myself.
The colorful decorations still hung from the ceiling.
Half-empty plates rested upon the table.
The faint aroma of curry and freshly brewed tea lingered throughout the house.
Tet let herself fall backward onto the sofa.
"Ahhh..."
"I'm stuffed."
She rubbed her stomach with a satisfied smile.
"That was fun."
Master let out a small laugh.
"Hehehe. I'm glad everyone enjoyed themselves."
He looked around at the messy living room.
"...Though..."
"We've got quite a cleanup waiting for us tomorrow."
Tet immediately raised one finger.
"Nope."
"Future us can handle that."
"...Tet."
"What?"
"It's already eleven in the evening."
"I think Future Tet will understand."
Master could only sigh helplessly.
"...That's not how it works."
"...Fufu."
A quiet laugh escaped my lips.
The two turned toward me.
"...Ama-chan?"
Master asked.
I slowly looked around the living room once more.
Only a few hours ago...
This place had been filled with laughter.
With conversations.
With warmth.
My gaze eventually settled upon the handmade banner hanging across the wall.
[WELCOME TO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD]
"..."
Without realizing it...
A gentle smile appeared upon my face.
"...Today..."
"...was truly wonderful."
Master smiled.
"I'm happy to hear that."
He looked at me for a moment.
"Did you have fun, Ama-chan?"
I looked toward him.
"...Yes."
"Very much."
His smile widened.
"Good."
"That's all I wanted."
"...?"
I tilted my head.
"All you wanted?"
Master nodded.
"Yeah."
He looked around the room.
"Seeing everyone having fun..."
"Eating together..."
"Laughing..."
"That's enough for me."
I remained silent.
"...Even though you could have anything you wanted?"
Master looked at me.
"Anything?"
"You possess enough power to obtain wealth, glory, and status."
"You could pursue almost anything this world has to offer."
He gave a small shrug.
"Maybe."
"But I don't really need any of that."
"...Then what do you want?"
For a moment, Master was silent.
His gaze moved toward the empty plates.
The decorations.
The banner.
Then he smiled.
"...This."
"This?"
"Yeah."
He gestured toward the room.
"Days like this."
"Having everyone together."
"Being able to laugh and eat together."
"Just living normally."
His expression softened.
"I want to keep this."
"..."
Something inside me became strangely quiet.
For the first time...
I understood.
Master was a king.
A man who possessed enough power to reach glory, wealth, and anything else this world could offer.
Yet...
That was not what he desired.
He did not seek a throne.
Nor did he desire the admiration of the world.
He simply wanted to see the people around him smile.
He wanted to return to this house tomorrow...
And find everything still the same.
The same laughter.
The same meals.
The same peaceful days.
His greatest wish...
Was to protect this ordinary life.
"...I see."
I looked at him.
And somehow...
I found myself looking at my Master differently.
He possessed tremendous power.
Yet he did not use it to elevate himself above everyone else.
Instead...
He used it to protect the small world he cherished.
Perhaps...
That was what made him different from the countless powerful beings I had encountered throughout my existence.
A gentle smile appeared upon my face.
My Master...
The thought came naturally.
And for the first time...
I did not think of the word Master as merely a title born from a contract.
It felt...
Warm.
Familiar.
Precious.
My gaze shifted toward Tet.
She was already half-asleep on the sofa, completely unconcerned about the mess she had helped create.
"...Fufu."
A quiet laugh escaped me.
She was troublesome.
Carefree.
Ridiculous at times.
And yet...
I could no longer imagine this place without her.
My gaze returned to Master.
Then to Tet.
Then around the quiet house.
This house...
This life...
These people...
Somehow...
They had begun to feel like mine as well.
Earlier, when Chiyo-san had asked me how I was adjusting to life here in Japan...
I had been unable to answer.
Now...
I finally could.
I had not merely adjusted.
Without realizing it...
I had begun to belong.
I wanted to see Master smile.
I wanted to hear Tet's laughter.
I wanted to share meals with them.
I wanted to wake up tomorrow...
And find that this peaceful life was still here.
Perhaps...
For the first time since descending from the heavens...
I had found something beyond the duty of fulfilling my contract.
I had found people I wanted to remain beside.
People I wanted to protect.
People...
I wanted to call family.
My eyes slowly softened.
"...Master."
"Hm?"
I smiled.
"...Thank you."
He looked slightly surprised.
"For what?"
I shook my head.
"Nothing in particular."
"..."
I looked toward the two of them.
Master.
Tet.
My new companions.
My new family.
My new home.
"...I believe I am beginning to understand."
"Understand what?"
I smiled.
"...Why you cherish this life so much."
Master stared at me for a moment.
Then...
He smiled.
"Hehehe."
"Good."
Tet suddenly opened one eye from the sofa.
"Hehehe..."
"Looks like Ammy-chan finally gets it."
I looked toward her.
"...Tet."
She grinned.
Then she sat up slightly.
"Welcome home, Ammy-chan."
"...!"
I froze.
Master looked at me.
His expression was gentle.
"...Welcome home, Amaterasu."
My eyes widened slightly.
For countless ages...
I had been worshipped.
Revered.
Feared.
Called by countless names.
But those words...
"Welcome home."
Somehow...
They carried more warmth than any prayer I had ever received.
My lips slowly curved into a smile.
"...Yes."
I looked at the two of them.
Master.
Tet.
The people I had never expected to become precious to me.
The people I now wished to remain beside.
"...I'm home."
Tet's eyes sparkled.
"Hehehe..."
Master smiled.
And for the first time...
I truly understood.
This was no longer simply a place where I happened to live.
This was...
My home.
