Within the Evernight Regal Void, Lord Seeker's countless golden-black eyes narrowed because he seemed to have noticed the change.
Although it was faint- so faint that even the Evernight Kings might have overlooked it had they not been watching the Stairway so closely- Lord Seeker had spent countless eras observing this ancient trial.
He knew which fluctuations belonged to the Stairway's ordinary operation, and he knew when something unusual occurred. But this didn't mean he knew exactly what was happening or what the Stairway was responding to.
"This is strange." His words immediately drew the attention of the three Evernight Kings.
The Evernight Demon King turned toward him. "Is there something wrong? What did you notice?"
Lord Seeker didn't answer immediately, but his countless eyes shifted toward the distant Stairway, focusing on the area above the 125th step.
For several breaths, he remained silent, and then he spoke, "The Stairway seemed to have responded."
