#6: Sweet Talk With Crisostomo

She went out and closed the door. I went to the door to listen to their conversation below. I had to make sure she would say what I said. I stick my ear to the door of Maria Clara's room.

"What's the matter, hija? Why do you not want to eat?" Captain Tiago said, and I can feel that he's already furious, because of the furrowed eyebrows.
They were already sitting at the wooden yet classical an expensive table and chairs set up in our kitchen.
"Primo!" Aunt Isabel scolded him. Aunt looked at me and smiled at me. "Emcee Hija, come and eat beside me."
"Okay," I had no choice. It's all because of Marites! I gave her a tiger look but she just averted my gaze. I heard Crisostomo's laugh.

"Definitely, no! I need to have a serious conversation between these two about what just happened. Crisostomo and Emcee. Why did you just do a scandalous think? How come you dare to have a physical fight with Padre Salvi?" Captain Tiago was serious
I am afraid that he'll dislike Crisostomo because of this, I must save his ass.

"As it should be!" Captain Tiago no longer waited for Crisostomo to finish his words. He is kinda rude! He also has a bad attitude. I thought that he like Crisostomo and he respects him.
After that no one tried to speak. When I read the novel, I never imagined Captain Tiago to be a strict and easy-to-get-mad father, because he is a loving father to Maria Clara.
Maybe, I just annoyed him so much that he became like this. You know people, their patience has limits. Even if it's just a fictional character.

It was so nice to hear what he had to say. Especially the 'my love.'
