Midnights were quiet in Acrod.
It was the one time that Nour knew that there would be peace and the kind of calm he needed to remind himself why he was doing what he was doing.
Today, just like every other night, he was out of his room, in the palace guest room, sure, but routine was routine.
Tonight, he was standing at the balcony of the palace, the balcony that gave him a good view of the homes and villages in the kingdom. The reminder of his desire to make sure these nights remained as peaceful.
He knew that there would come a time when war would be the only way, but he hoped, however stupidly so, that things would be alright.
He hoped that after the war, there would be peace and Acrod would finally have its peace.
He hoped that civilians wouldn't be caught in the middle of the war, but then that was almost a long shot, seeing how brazen the werewolf rogues had gotten.
