Minty: "I love that you called yourself a teenage detective—we've all been in that FBI-mode over a crush! But since you said those 'dots' helped train your discernment, how do you feel about the readers who are currently 'connecting the dots' in your book? Does it bother you that they might be analyzing Jervien's actions even more than you did, or do you feel like you're finally handing the detective badge over to someone else?"
[A few people in the audience chuckle, probably realizing they were doing exactly that while reading.]
Yvonne: "Oh, they can have it! It's their turn to stress about it! [Laughing] I've already graduated in that era. You all have fun analyzing! [Looking at the audience while pointing at them and smiling]"
[The audience erupts into a mix of cheers and playful groans, with several people jokingly putting their hands up as if to say, "Fine, we'll take it from here!" One girl in the back shouts, "I'm on Chapter 4 and I've already got a notebook!" which sends another wave of laughter through the room.]
Minty: [Pointing at the audience, then back at Yvonne] "You heard the lady! The badge has been officially handed over! Yvonne is retired, and you all are now on the case. Good luck with the overthinking, everyone—it's a long road!"
[Minty waits for the laughter to settle, her expression becoming a bit more intrigued as she looks at the retired detective sitting across from her.]
