Momo hadn't had a chance to refuse before the video call was ended by Ye Zhan.
She pouted, turned over in bed, and went to sleep under the covers.
Half an hour later, when her phone rang, Momo suddenly sat up again, and seeing the flashing name on the screen, her heartbeat sped up.
She pressed the answer key, intentionally speaking in a sleepy voice, "Hello."
"Momo, I'm downstairs. Come out."
"I was asleep."
"Then I'll come upstairs to find you."
Ye Zhan chuckled softly—sleeping yet still talking; Momo, you're cute, not silly.
"No need, I'm coming down."
"Okay, five minutes."
After hanging up, Momo glanced at her pajamas, then lifted the blanket and got out of bed.
She looked in the mirror, threw on a jacket, and left the room, treading lightly down the stairs; the living room was quiet.
After all, she was only in the early stages of a relationship with Ye Zhan, and sneaking out late at night made her a bit guilty, so she quickened her pace through the living room.
