There was only silence. Silence as far as one could hear. The ones watching in the open and the ones watching in secret could only gaze with their mouths wide open. I could sense it. I could see it all. A mix of sheer awe, excitement, surprise, fear, and more. A collection of feelings coming together. Especially the negative emotions swirling in between all that, just beginning to leak out. I could feel them all. Almost taste them.
Turning my gaze away, I looked at Eldon, who was standing up. His gaze filled with the same awe mixed with fear, and the same thought of not being able to believe what was happening in front of him. From every literal point of view, this all just seemed and looked like some kind of fantasy dream that couldn't possibly happen in real life. But it was happening.
