The next morning, Bai Zhi paid special attention to her clothes and makeup, looking more exquisite and beautiful than usual.
Bai Xiaobai lifted his little head to look at his mom, then gave a thumbs up with a smile, "Mom, you look really beautiful today."
Bai Zhi smiled nervously, "Mom might come back a little late today, be a good kid at grandma's house, okay?"
"Okay, mom, are you working overtime or going on a date?"
A date?
Bai Zhi raised her eyebrows and asked him, "Where did you hear the word 'date'?"
"Everyone's saying it. A little girl in our class said that when girls dress up beautifully, they're going on a date. Mom, you look so pretty today, are you going on a date?"
"Mom is going to meet someone very important tonight, enough talking now, we're going to be late, let's go."
The entire day, Bai Zhi felt somewhat restless, unable to calm herself.
Finally, when it was time to get off work, Duan Xingzhi's call came right on time.
