In the blink of an eye, it was Lantern Festival again, naturally a time for the whole family to gather together.
After an early dinner, Wei Chengfeng took Su Li and the two little ones to see the lanterns, leaving Xiao Wei Ling with Old Lady Wei.
Watching lanterns is a must-do on the Lantern Festival, and the streets were crowded with people. Su Li was not fond of this kind of hustle and bustle in the past, but this year, for the sake of the children, she had to come out.
She bought a sugar-coated haws on a stick for each of the little ones, then held their hands as they walked through the crowd, glancing here and there, very happily.
The family didn't head back until ten o'clock, and though they had been very excited, they fell asleep as soon as they got into the car.
Wei Chengfeng pinched her shoulder and asked, "You're exhausted too, aren't you?"
"I'm okay, but the crowd was really overwhelming."
