"No, but sitting in the bathtub," Tessa giggled, feeling that Faye was being a bit too dramatic.
"Who told you a bathtub isn't dangerous? What if you get trapped inside and your leg cramps? What if you suddenly lose the strength to climb out? Sometimes it takes just a second to drown in water. There's plenty of things you could do for fun instead of this." Faye's hands clenched into fists, his bones turning pale, veins bulging.
The last time she fell into the water after being pushed by her stepmother clearly left him with lingering fears. Just now, when he pushed the door open and found her in the water, it really startled him.
"Next time..."
"Dare to tell me 'next time'." Faye's voice was like that of an emperor, cold and commanding, as he snarled at her.
Every word was almost spat out through gritted teeth.
