"Ah? What?" Nora Harrow was first puzzled.
Then she burst into laughter: "Tessa Caldwell, did you know Faye before? You're kidding, right?"
Tessa rarely looked so serious and earnest: "It's true."
Nora took an apple from the fruit basket on the nightstand.
She peeled the apple while jokingly laughing: "Someone as exceptional as Faye, if you knew him before, how could you not brag about it?"
Tessa didn't know how to explain it to Nora.
But she was really certain that she did know Faye. Those dreams she'd had before weren't dreams at all but things she'd actually experienced with Faye.
Just because she recalled them in dreams, she thought it was a case of daydreams turning into night visions.
It was only when she fell into the pool today, on the brink of life and death, that she again saw those dreamlike illusions, and suddenly realized that perhaps the dreams weren't dreams nor day thoughts, but rather actually occurred.
But if that's true, it's too bizarre.
