Before long, Richard followed the servant and met Oscar in the courtyard.
As expected, Oscar had indeed come to deliver something, arriving with several carriages, and was having boxes unloaded and moved into the room to be placed properly.
Richard checked some of the boxes and found they contained all the documents from the Royal Library that he wanted.
Seeing Richard finish checking, Oscar spoke up: "Almost everything is here, freshly taken from the Royal Library—there's so much chaos in the city that few pay attention to this matter.
Here are a total of twenty-five boxes of documents, most of what you need—only a small portion—about a tenth, is kept in the deepest secret vault of the Royal Library and is hard to retrieve, so I've given you all the high-value research documents available as compensation.
If you insist on the remaining items, it can be done, but it will take a few more days; I will certainly complete it for you then."
