Vivian finally opened her mouth, "Uncle."
He wasn't actually impolite, just a bit timid and introverted.
Julian said, "It's time to sleep; it's getting late."
"Sleep," Serena spoke up.
Julian looked at his daughter and said, "Come on, let's go upstairs and go to sleep together."
Nina finally stood up, taking Serena's hand and following behind.
Serena saw Julian holding Vivian but not her and said, "Daddy, carry me."
Julian glanced at his little princess and reached out to pick her up as well.
One in each arm.
Luckily, neither of them was too heavy now.
Julian looked at Nina and said, "What should I do? Uncle can't carry you."
Two kids were manageable.
Three were too difficult.
Nina bravely said, "I don't need to be carried."
Julian looked at her and smiled.
Once upstairs, Julian put down Vivian and Serena and said to Nina, "You and your brother can go to sleep."
Nina said, "Okay."
She took Vivian's hand and went to find Second Brother.
