"What is it?" Scarlett stared at him in confusion. If it was something, couldn't they just do it in the room?
Why come all the way here?
The late autumn breeze was a bit chilly. Julian looked at Scarlett, held her hand, and said, "Close your eyes."
His eyes were earnest as he spoke, so Scarlett obediently closed hers.
She heard the rustling sound of him fumbling for something in his pocket and asked, "Can I open them now?"
"Hold on."
With her eyes still closed, she felt him slip something onto her hand. "Okay, you can open them."
Though she couldn't see, she had a pretty good guess what it was. When she opened her eyes, she saw a diamond ring on her finger.
Scarlett's heart skipped a beat. She looked at Julian and asked, "What's this?"
"Will you marry me?" His voice was gentle, yet incredibly serious.
Listening to him, Scarlett couldn't help but smile, "A proposal? We've already registered, isn't it a bit late for this?"
