Aurora Blaine was taken aback.
Maverick Knight?
"He's been outside the whole time?" She picked up the phone next to her to check the time—it had been a whole day and night.
Miles Ellison: "Yes."
Aurora didn't need to think to know that it was her grandmother who wasn't letting Maverick Knight in.
Wearing her hospital gown, Aurora went downstairs.
On the way, she encountered many people, all of whom were quite concerned about her health.
Aurora headed straight to the entrance.
Once outside, she saw Maverick Knight as expected. Thinking about how long he'd been waiting out here, she felt a little uneasy.
"Maverick Knight."
Hearing the familiar voice, Maverick turned his head and met her gaze.
Aurora jogged over.
At that moment, Maverick's eyes showed a hint of color, and he reached out to steady her, "Why are you running?"
"I was afraid you'd been waiting too long."
Maverick's gaze fell on the girl's face, noticing she looked pale, "You need to get proper rest."
